  1. Thanks Rusty92. I appreciate the package. More than I expected and it was quick and great packaging. Looking forward to doing it again. Later-
  2. http:// http:// http:// Later-
  3. I got the rest of the cage done. I left the bars unglued that slide into the dash so that I can disassemble the interior for painting. I should be able to prime and paint this weekend. I have started on the bits in the hatch area. Still a bit more to detail there. http:// http:// http:// Later-
  4. I think I'm leaning towards leaving them off. Really it is for two reasons. First, the decals I have are older so they could have some issues. Second, why ruin a good thing. I'm going to do some work today on getting the interior pieces painted and together. Later-
  5. Thanks Scott. I'll finish the cage tomorrow by just running the front tubes long for now and when I get the rest of the interior in I will terminate them behind the dash. I'm trying to decide if I want to put any graphic decals on the body or leave it without. I have some purple ones that should work but I'm unsure if I like them. Later-
  6. Thanks Stitchd- Well, I started the redo of the cage with smaller diameter rod. I think the new size looks better and I like the difference in the sides of the main hoop. http:// http:// http:// Later-
  7. Made a bit of progress today. http:// http:// http:// http:// Now that I've gotten this far I feel that the 100 rod I used looks too big. I'm thinking that I should start over in .080 rod instead. I hate the thought of redoing work but it may be best. Later-
  8. Looks like a good idea to me and one that is believable. Go for it. BTW- I love the wheels. Do you offer them at all? I would love to get a set or two. Later-
  9. You should enjoy it. It's a fun little fiddly kit. http:// Later-
  10. That is looking nice. I like the black and white color combo. Is this a multi-piece body? I'm still working on my 58 Vette and having fun with it. Yours will be great when it's finished. Later-
  11. Oh yeah! This is going to be GOOD! Later-
  12. I got a bit of time today during lunch to start the cage. http:// Still quite a ways to go. Later-
  13. This will be an interesting build since you will be sourcing everything for the build. It will definitely be a custom. I'll be watching. Later-
  14. That is looking great! I sure hope mine turns out as good when I get around to it. Later-
  15. I got my end of the deal with Scott8950 on Tuesday and it was just as expected and have enjoyed trading and chatting with Scott. All around great guy! Later-
  16. Worked for a bit on this again tonight. I found an FC3 on the net that I am using the interior as inspiration. It has had the interior mostly stripped and a cage installed. Here is a shot through the rear hatch. http:// Here is what I got done tonight. I cut out the rear seat, hatch interior and speakers. Then I started scratching the bits back. http:// http:// Building the center brace. http:// http:// I cut down the height of the shock towers to more closely resemble the reference photo but I don't have a pic of that. I started to make the main hoop for the cage but realized that I have an early morning tomorrow. So, that's it for tonight. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-
  17. Thanks. I was thinking acrylics. Guess now that is another reason why I'll have to master airbrushing acrylic. Later-
  18. Looks amazing! You do such great work and I appreciate how you document all of it for our benefit. Thanks. Later-
  19. Nice score! I have a couple of the Tamiya and one of the not-tech kits (Along with the Karmann Ghia from the same series). Any idea of the best paint to use on the rubber-like interior parts? Later-
  20. I'll be watching this eagerly. I also have the LeMans to do but I need a hood for it. Does anybody have a spare or one to get a mold from? Later-
  21. This is beyond words to describe. Fantastic work! I even showed all 6 pages to my wife and she was very impressed with it. Congratulations John. You've managed to do something that I have been trying to do for 30 years. Lol! Later-
  22. Progress has been slow. Along with being a bit busy at work and home lately, I have also been working on my 89 FC3S kit. Worked a bit on this today. Got the motor from the 06 Camaro installed. Nothing extravagant bit it will look fine once the body is on. http:// http:// I bought some Pegasus disc rotors yesterday. Tomorrow I will get the radiator installed and see about finishing the chassis. Perhaps the decals on the dash and detailing of the door panels. Later-
  23. Looks like you've got them fixed up nice. Can't see any flaws from what I'm looking at. Good work. Later-
