  1. Much better now. Later-
  2. You can see the warp in the body in the third pic. So far the only thing that I have done is to narrow the wheel track front and rear and detail paint the wheel center. The wheels stuck out from the fenders about an 1/8 inch! The first pic is after the fix. The second is before. Later-
  3. I went Saturday to help a Buddy move. He has been building models for years but has been on a hiatus for a few years. We found this partially built kit outside in what could only loosely be called a shed. He told me that he had stopped building it because he noticed that the body was warped. I asked if I could have it to see what could be done. I got it home and looked and, yes, the body has a twist in the front passenger fender/rocker area. However, I believe that once the radiator bulkhead and grille is in place and the body is glued to the chassis it will all straighten just fine. Here is where it sat when I got it. There isn't much left to do. More to come. Later-
  4. Thanks guys. This one, in a way, is coming out as I pictured it but in a way it's not. I had envisioned it in silver and graphite but with some gloss blue accents. I couldn't come up with the blue I wanted so it got left out. Still trying to decide on putting a floating chrome bar on the grille or not. Later-
  5. What a great kit to work with. I really enjoyed working with this one. It is so well designed that it makes for a simple build. I look forward to seeing your results. Later-
  6. Looks amazing! Later-
  7. Thanks fellas. Never thought of the floorboards. Later-
  8. Thanks Pappy. I realized this morning that I never took any photos of the interior before installing it in the cab. It has the seats, center console and steering wheel and column from the Viper GTS. Later-
  9. Thanks guys. I appreciate it very much. Later-
  10. Thanks TJ. It's finally coming along. Just need to finish detailing the engine and scratchbuild the exhaust. I found a set of mirrors for it. Custom for the build but close enough to stock to not look out of place or like an afterthought. Later-
  11. Very nice looking paint work. Love the color. Later-
  12. Still working on detailing the engine. Took some time to make sure everything fits. Had to recess the radiator to make room for the air intake. Also had to modify the air intake a bit. Later-
  13. Wow! Simply beautiful workmanship. The paint is amazing! Great job. Later-
  14. Thanks for the info. I figured it would be MCG. I'll have to see if I can find a set. That steering wheel itself has a lot of detail. Later-
  15. Where did you get the PE wheel and dash knobs? Looking great! Later-
  16. Thanks fellas! I wasn't expecting that nice of a reception with this one. I finally brought it out of the garage this morning and washed it off. Lots of dust on it. I think I'll just replace the steering wheel on this and put it on the shelf with the rest of my builds. I think it would be a bad idea to rebuild it. This (and another build of mine) actually made a trip to GSL one year with a friend of mine who was going. I couldn't go. I'd hate to lose that history with it. Thanks again guys. Later-
  17. I built this about 1993-94(?) while working away from home, living in a friend's spare bedroom in Alaska. I don't know much about drag racing or the history of so it may not be very accurate. There was an article in Car Modeler mag or SAE highlighting a similar simple build. Since I didn't have my normal build area and had limited parts but an itch to build something, I threw this together. I used the engine and wheels from the Miss Deal and a spare body and bed. Scratchbuilt frame. Basic wiring and plumbing was used and I finished it! It sat in my garage model room after moving to WA state and I soon noticed that the heat shrink the steering wheel and messed up the wheel edges. May be time for a repair/rebuild soon. Later-
  18. Looks great! I like the simplicity of it. I have this kit as a rebuilder and have never done anything with it because I don't like the looks of it. You have managed to change my mind and have given me a few ideas for it. I may have to throw something like this together with it someday for a quicky build. Later-
  19. Very nice looking truck. Tasteful mods. Love the stance and tires. Later-
  20. Thanks Jim! Been working on the engine lately. Later-
  21. That is looking very good! Nice work on the paint. Reminds me of the Tripoly Turquoise. Can't wait to see this finished. Later-
  22. Looks great! I've been wanting to do this with a spare 55 Sedan that I have. May have to give it a go. Later-
  23. Great. I suppose I should confirm that it is a Bridgestone Mud Dueler? I'll PM you. Later-
  24. Could I get one of those spare tires from you? I have a kit (different version) with only three tires. Later-
