  1. I understand completely! A 41 Willys project I was working on a couple of years ago took 7 cans of Tamiya paint to finally get the paint job to come out right! Later-
  2. It's looking good! Getting excited to see this one all finished. Later-
  3. Yes, nice work! Looks like it will come together well. Later-
  4. Gorgeous color....and it looks nice and smooth! Great job so far. Later-
  5. Is that a hood to the Chevy 1500 pickup in the bottom left corner of the first pic? If so, I could use it. Got a rebuilder from a friend that is just missing the hood. PM me, if so, and let's work something out. Later-
  6. Nice modifications to that engine bay and chassis. Going to look miles better. Great color combo too. Later-
  7. Looks great so far. I like it. Are the filler pieces between the cab sections just plastic stock or are they from kit pieces? I'll be watching this one. Later-
  8. Great choice for a build and I like the Root beer brown choice. I think Charlie's suggestion of the Champagne gold and tan would be a winner. Looking forward to the build. Later-
  9. Dave, Thanks for the nice compliment but this is not my work. These I got from a Buddy. Later-
  10. My buddy is scratchbuilding a 1/8 scale of this. It looks amazing! Later-
  11. So, I went to visit my Buddy yesterday and take him the gift I had gotten him (1/8 Revell 32 Ford Roadster kit) and he is getting away from 1/24 and 1/25 scale. He gave me a large box with about 15 parts kits and a couple of parts boxes! In one of the kit boxes I found this painted 55 drag body with a bunch of the parts for it. http:// http:// In another box I found the rest of the parts for it! Looks like I found something to mount my new aluminum wheels from Vintagedragcrazy, when they arrive. He also gave me these started projects. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Which project should I work on after finishing my 57 Wagon and the 55 drag? Later-
  12. I like this one. That 69 TBird definitely had a different look to it. You hardly see these built. Good choice. Later-
  13. Looking great! What a good looking custom. Later-
  14. Looks amazing! I love these kits for their simplicity and ease of building. You did a great job detailing it! Later-
  15. Well, couldn't tell it from looking at your builds. They are outstanding! Thanks for the encouragement. I'm enjoying this one. Later-
  16. Lol! Man, that is so true. I was working on this the other morning and I had the model sitting to my right and had a tube of superglue in my left hand about 10 inches away. I was putting a drop of glue on a shock. All of a sudden the glue shot across and landed on the top of the dash. Aarrrgg! I've never seen it shoot like that. And, of course, it had to go straight to the model. I quickly wiped it off. Then I had to tape it off and repaint. Shouldn't show now, but how frustrating. Later-
  17. Thanks Lou! I got the engine completed and installed today. http:// http:// http:// I also thought that the steering wheel and interior looked too plain so I added the wheel horn ring from the old AMT 57 Ford kit. http:// I'll probably add something to the front seat. I'd like to find some of the old state window stickers to the back windows. I know they came on the decal sheet in at least one kit. Anybody know which kit or kits? Anybody got some to trade? Later-
  18. Yeah. We parked and walked the old main street too. Lots of interesting old buildings. We went into an antique store to look around and I took a picture of this book. I thought it looked funny a Challenger towing an Airstream. I'd love to have the pair. http:// Later-
  19. Yesterday my wife and I drove an hour and a half to meet Muncie (Steve- a fellow board member here) in Ritzville. He drove up from Oregon. I had a couple of kits to trade him and he brought me what I was looking for. I can't post a pic of it here yet because it is for a Buddy of mine who frequents this board. We did the trade and then Steve bought a few more things from me. Then he was nice enough to buy my wife and I lunch!! We had a very enjoyable time getting to know him, although it was brief. I look forward to doing it again sometime Steve. Next time lunch is on me! Safe travels. Later-
  20. Looks great so far. You're doing a fantastic job. Later-
  21. Thanks guys! I got the wheels on and the engine block and accessories painted today. Later-
  22. Thanks guys. I've kind of gotten slowed down a bit over the last couple of days. Not as long of breaks at work. I'll probably start on the engine tomorrow. I also need to paint the headliner before I get too far ahead of myself. I need to find three more of the mirrors that go on the front fender. I'm going to use the base of them as the mounting brackets for a scratchbuilt roof rack. Anybody got a mirror or three from these 57 Ford kits that they aren't using? PM me, if you do. Later-
  23. Thanks David. Later-
  24. Got the interior completed today and couldn't resist putting the body on for a look see. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// Later-
