  1. I just bought the Johan 72 with the thought of building a relatively stock build. Are you talking about using the chassis from the Revell 76 Torino? Later-
  2. I bought a sealed 64 1/2 Mustang off of CL earlier this week for $5. I gave it to my cousin who has been thinking about getting back into modeling. I figured it would give him the boost needed. I just got the message this morning that my offer was accepted on this deal on eBay. Looks like I got a great deal for the price. I have a started parts kit of it. I've been wanting a complete, unstarted one, and this one comes with extras. Got it, with shipping included for less than normal. Later-
  3. Does anyone know where I might find some aftermarket resin 54 Buick headlights and 56 Buick taillights? Later-
  4. That looks very nice. Too bad you didn't get what you expected but the non existent scripts makes it look like a day two custom. Beautiful paint choice too. Later-
  5. Those are all beautiful builds! You did a great job on all of them. I built the Tweedy Pie this year but painted mine green. Great work! http:// Later-
  6. Just won these 65 Riviera wheels off of eBay this morning. Later-
  7. Come on up! I'd love the visit. I'm still sorting out some of the tires and parts kits he gave me a few weeks ago. Later-
  8. No idea but I believe they would be good for the vacuformed belly tanker he gave me. Later-
  9. Last night I stopped by my Buddy's house for a visit. I finally dropped off the Monogram 1/8 scale tires I had bought him. He, as always, gave me so much more! Here is what he kindly have me! Boxes of parts: bodies, tires (kit and aftermarket), wheels (kit, resin and aluminum), engines, PE sets, resin bits and decals. What a buddy! I now have hours of exploring and sorting to do. Later-
  10. That looks amazing! I really like your idea of putting tape down before BMF. I have been having trouble with having to remove the sticky residue. Great idea!! Later-
  11. Beautiful work. Nice and clean. Later-
  12. I, too, would like to see some progress on this one. I have a couple of 53 Customs (one is a more modern custom) that are on the bench. Later-
  13. What he said. Really like the shots in the water to get the reflection! Sweet paint job too. Later-
  14. Lol. Now back to our regularly scheduled program. Later-
  15. I say go for it! Should look great! Later-
  16. That actually sounds like a good plan to me, although, I think I may have mental problems. Lol. Later-
  17. Wow! I hadn't checked in for a while. I am blown away with the work on the body! Looking amazing. Later-
  18. Excellent work on this. Your hard work paid off well. Beautiful paint too. Later-
  19. It is extremely thin, like BMF and once the glue sets it works just the same. I really can't tell any difference. Later-
  20. Got one side done. Time to keep.moving forward. If I'm correct, I have managed to get 5 projects completed so far this year. If like to make it seven. Later- http://
  21. CabDriver- It is a very thin foil that is used in commercial cooking. A buddy of mine works in a restaurant and they use it for wrapping potatoes to bake. He gave me the whole box probably 10 years ago and it has, what I would guess, is a thousand sheets, each divided by a thin sheet of paper. Tonight I started my foiling. Drinking a scotch ale, listening to Lucero and fighting this foil job. http:// Later-
  22. That looks very sharp. The chop looks very similar to one that I did on the same body. Your Tamiya black is great and encouraging. I am getting ready this morning to paint a 57 Chevy Black Widow in the same color. I hope mint turns out as clean. Later-
  23. What an excellent build of a beautiful car and such an amazing gift! Good job. One she will be proud of, for sure. Later-
