Thanks David. Just got another coat of primer on the body. Been focusing on the 41 Woody so this has become my fill in build. Later-

Getting a bit of paint down today. Got the roof and interior floor painted in semi-gloss black from a distance to get a bit more of a textured appearance. Going with a utilitarian rubber floor mat rather than the carpeted floor. http:// http:// http:// I also got the chassis and suspension parts painted flat black. Not sure yet what color I will do the body in. I was thinking Gloss Black but that may end up being too much black. I may do it in a dark maroon or green. I'll decide after I visit the model train store and get ideas for paint colors of what ever railroad I model it after or do a fictional RR. Later-

Randy, I didn't realize that model came with swivel seats!?!? Sorry, I hope that jab is not too early. I hope the scar has scabbed over by this point. I hate it when that happens. Years ago (2007) I was in the process of moving from Alaska to Washington state. I had just enough time to get a 2006 Mustang that I had highly customized painted in Tamiya Mica blue. It was the best paintjob I had done to that point. I let the paint gas out for a couple of days and then wired it down to the base of a plastic display case, put the top of the case on and securely strapped it to a steel plate for the drive down from Alaska. Once I got here I promptly put the entire thing on an upper, out of the way shelf in my garage until things from the move calmed down and I could get back to it. Four months later when I took it down the body was mangled. I'm still not sure if it was from the paint gassing out under a sealed cover or the heat of summer in an uninsulated garage. I was devastated. When I showed it to my wife she laughed and said that it looked as if miniature teenagers had stolen the car and run it into a telephone pole. Needless to say, I wasn't amused. I never did get back to that build. Just thought I would share one of my stories of destruction of a model. Again, sorry for your loss. Later- -

Tonight's work. Not much done but this took a bit of time between phone calls. http:// I'll have to wait till I get back to my shop at work to prime and paint. It has been raining here all weekend. Not good for spraying in my uninsulated garage. Later-

Tonight's work. Very tedious work so far. http:// I'm finally at a point where I have to prime and paint some parts before moving on. Unfortunately it has been raining here all weekend. My work will have to wait until I get back to my shop at work. Good night all. Later-

Got some time in on mine tonight. Very small update on my link to the "workbench" on pg 2. Looking forward to everybody's updates. Later-

Got some time at the bench tonight. Glued together most of the parts that needed assembled for painting. Seats, front and rear axle parts. The boring stuff for an update. But then, using the following picture as a loose guide I began the cow catcher. http:// http:// http:// And that's about it for the night. I'm hoping to spray some primer tomorrow on the body. Now it is off to bed. Got a busy day tomorrow. Thanks for looking. Later-

Swiss Cheese anyone? http:// http:// Took a bit longer than I thought to get the last of the panels removed. Also did a bit on getting the hood to square up. Shaved down a bit of extra plastic on the cowl. Now to clean up and off to bed. Later-

Got Dark Side of the Moon playing on the turntable and going to finish removing the "wood" panels. Then I'll probably start on the engine and some other bits. Later-

I like what you have done with this. Something new on an old style. Later-

Jason, Glad to see that you got it. I hope you enjoy it and looking forward to what you do to it. Later-

I shot some acrylic paint on the chassis and suspension a bit ago. It is a custom mix of Spring Green and Soft Grey. http:// http:// It was a bit too bright of green so I mixed in a bit more Grey and re-shot. http:// http:// Much better now. The lighting is poor. When it dries I will move it to some better lighting. Later-

I think that it all sounds good. Would look good in root beer with a tan/yellow mod top. Later-

Lol. Im thinking of running to the model train store on Friday to pick a brain or two. Later-

I won't post every update here, but this is where I'm at so far. Removing the "wood" panels in place of some real wood. http:// http:// Going to be a slow process. Can'twait to see everybody's plans. Later-

Thanks Steve. Getting an early start on it today. Plan is to replace all of the outer plastic "wood" panels with real wood. A slow process. http:// http:// That's it for now. Break is over. Back to work. Later-
