  1. I like the sleek look of that. What roof did you say that was? Later-
  2. Thanks guys! I just wetsanded the body again in preparation for another (and hopefully final) coat of paint. Also washed the frame to try and get paint on it tomorrow Later-
  3. Here is the ride height. Wheels are just white glued on and the rears didn't get glued in the center of the axle so they look like they are too far back. I like the ride height though. Later-
  4. Spent some time working on this tonight while on Zoom with Sam I Am. Didn't get a lot done but had a blast catching up with a buddy! The suspension is ironed out. Took a lot of cut and paste. The wheels are just white glued in place to see how it is going to sit. Not much progress, but progress none the less. Going to a show on May 14th so I need to get this done by then. Later-
  5. Definitely looks much better tucked in. Going to be a pretty short axle but they managed it in 1:1. Nice looking paint too. Later-
  6. Trying to get the hang of soldering. It may not look good but I'm having a lot of fun. I figured out that if I cover the previous solder joints with poster tack I don't have problems with them coming undone while soldering the next area in such close proximity. If you do any soldering with brass, how do you keep the heat from undoing your work? Since this is a new venture for me I'm curious to hear any tricks. Later-
  7. Got the hood sanded out and I switched over to soldering brass together for the framework. Going to be a chore but I think I'll enjoy it. Haven't soldered anything major before. Later-
  8. I managed to finish the one I had started back on page 1 back in Jan 2019. Don't remember if I ever put the photos up on this site. Love many of these displayed here. Later-
  9. Cool! Glad I can help. Let me know if you need better pics of the article. I saw this in the mag years ago and was amazed by it. Glad I kept the mag all these years. Later-
  10. Thanks. I appreciate it. No decals needed. Later-
  11. Looking for a complwte chassis/suspension or complete kit of the Pro Street Beretta, 57 Soff Seal Chevy, 55 Pro Sportsman, Hot Rod Lincoln, or the Dobbertin J 2000 to use as a start for the cage and suspension. Couldn't sleep tonight so I did some work on the hood. Now I'm ready for sleep while the putty dries. Later-
  12. I think any one of those would work as a good starting point. Now to do some looking. Been getting some work done on the hood tonight. Later-
  13. I was wondering about that Beretta kit. Now if I could just get wrenchr to trade me the one he just bought. Lol! Anybody got one they want to trade away? Later-
  14. I like it! Looking forward to your progress. Later-
  15. Very nice looking! That's going to look great when it's finished. I'm working on a 67 Impala lowrider that I painted the same color. Later-
  16. Thanks. I'm not sure about the PS Nova chassis. I took some close up photos of the chassis and cage in the article. It is going to be a chore to build something close so looking for something that has a good start for me. Later-
  17. Great price! I had one when I was much younger too. Would love to find one. Later-
  18. Anybody know of a kit that would be a good jumping off point for this drag cage and chassis in this 70 Nova? Doesn't have to be exact but a good start would be helpful. Thinking the Matt Hayes T Bird or Glidden Ford. Anybody got something to trade? Later-
  19. Anybody know of a kit that would be a good starting point for the chassis and cage? Later-
  20. Whoo- I NEED that pro street Beretta for a project!! Later-
  21. I figured since I needed to buy Flux for soldering that I would make my trunk hinges tonight. After an hour and a half I successfully made one and failed on two more. I'm done for the night!! Later-
  22. Carl, Both doors are decaled. Must have been the way the photos looked. My plan is to keep the paint as it is. I've been looking high and low for my butane torch so I can practice my soldering. Haven't found it yet. Later-
  23. Yeah, I think that this is going to be my next "stalled project"! Lol. I do believe that I am going to finally have to learn how to solder, which means I should probably convert over to brass. Not so sure what I am doing at the moment will work. This is just superglued together as a quick test. I went through a couple of bins of Mike's stuff that I got and pulled out anything that was tube or rod of approximately the right size. The picture is what I came up with. Time to start sorting! Later-
