I like this very much! Great idea to build your own. It has a great look to it. I got one of the Uncertain It's as a built up a couple years ago for DIRT cheap. ($5 for a box full of old built ups) It was only missing the back wall. I didn't see me redoing it any time soon and so I sold it for a hefty profit. Later-

Yes. I really liked the wheels. Got a few different sets from Fink's Garage. Nice stuff. Later-

Thanks Fellas! I didn't think there would be this many who would like this build due to the quality of the kit I started with. Glad you guys like it. Later-

Quitting the Hobby
Modlbldr replied to stavanzer's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Alan, Sorry to hear you are leaving the hobby, but only you know what is best for you. I have enjoyed trading with you in the past (and some quite recent). Take care, stop in once in a while to say "Hi", and enjoy the next phase in your life to the full. Hope to see you around some day. Later- -
Thanks, but I need something to fill the holes. If it looks too busy I'll just paint the pinheads black. Later-

Thanks guys. I forgot that I have one more thing to do. I need to install some straight pin heads for the wheel lugs. I'll try to get that done this weekend. Later-

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Later-

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! It was a fun build. The kit wasn't difficult, just not a great kit. I could have flocked them but I didn't want the interior to be too red. Later-

Just finished this up. This is the Skip's Fiesta kit. Not the greatest, but doesn't turn out bad. I used resin wheels from Fink's Garage and scratchbuilt the mirrors and bumpers. Comments and criticisms welcomed. Later-

Cool idea. Love the windshield. I think you should fill the gas filler door and do a flip top filler on top of the driver's rear fender next to where the fairing fades out. I'll definitely be watching this one. Later-

I talked to my buddy and he said that he thinks they were Heller 1/24 bikes. He said that he modified the forks and front suspensions. He said there was another company that sold 1/24 superbikes but he can't remember who. Later-

Just picked all of this up from a local guy on FB Marketplace. Some are complete and some are started with possible parts missing. The Race team is missing the flopper car and the SL 300 looks to have two complete cars in the box. I don't build semi stuff but got it for sale/trade fodder. Also stopped on the way home and picked up 9 cans of paint on clearance for $27. The race team box had an application for Class C or D Station License in the Citizen Radio Service and temporary permit paperwork for Class D Citizen Radio Station from 1975 and 1976 and a fold out paper diagram of how to install a CB in your 1/2 ton pickup! Amazing build! I love everything about it. Just the right amount of detail and parts choices. Looks beautiful in that color too. Later-

Beautiful job on a great car! Love the color too. Later-

Very nice rescue. I like the change of paint color. The cool taillights don't get overlooked like they did with the red paint. Great work! Later-

Nice rebuild so far. Got to wonder though, why was it low enough for her to step on? Lol. Here is one I received from a friend of mine. While it was in progress someone maliciously destroyed it. He didn't have the heart to rebuild it so I took it on. After I pieced most everything back together I got stalled on it. I need to get back on it. Later-

I'd love to find another one of these kits too. I managed to pick this one up off of a guy locally on Facebook Marketplace for $15. It was sealed inside. I saw one recently on eBay that went for $77! The 1:1 car is a bit on the small side so the kit does have a small feel but the quality is fantastic. I hope you get one soon. Later-

This showed up on my doorstep today. It's in beautiful shape. Plastic is bright white, decals look great and chrome is beautiful. Later-

Busy day today bouncing from project to project. I got my Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA wet sanded and didn't manage to sand through anywhere! Got the 63 Tempest Convertible out of the pond and washed off. And I got some minor bodywork started on my 63 Mercury Meteor. Man, did the primer show up some flaws! Later-
