  1. Don't know if it's one of the photo sites you tried, but Photobucket is the one I use and is IMO the easiest to navigate and upload pics to. I haven't received any junk or spam from them either.
  2. I second (fifth? tenth?) Harry's concept. I like when things are categorized, since it's easier to find what one is interested in. If you're one of the people who want to see everything, just view the new content since it will all be mixed together. Harry (or Pat or Gregg): is the pickup truck section in the Model Trucks area, as it stands now, meant for just finished builds or WIPs as well?
  3. Yeah it would probably work fine on white plastic. Of course, the Scout II kit is in gray plastic, so it probably wouldn't have turned out as great.
  4. Thanks, got some good undercarriage pics from the Craigslist car!
  5. Do you happen to have any of the chassis/drivetrain? Those are the only pics that I couldn't find (other than one of the rear axle).
  6. Got some pics of the build that I will be starting with. Like I said, for some reason I was into the lowrider theme.
  7. Yeah, I think the Supercab and Crew cabs came with the flat topped bench seats. Funny thing though is that I just figured out that the rear seat in the kit is supposed to be folded down! I was wondering why it didn't look like any seat that I've ever seen.
  8. LMC Truck has the axle specs. 9" was '80-'86 8.8" was '83-'96, though they must have changed something in '87 10.25" was '86-'96 Oddly enough, it appears that the 8.8" and 10.25" have different diameter axle shafts for each side, with the left side larger than the right!
  9. Was that in reply to me? If not, then great minds think alike!
  10. I have two techniques which are a bit more primitive. The first is I paint a medium to light brown base coat to start. Once it dries, I use a thin dark brown Sharpie to draw in some lines and knots. From up close it looks ok, but from farther away it looks pretty good. The second technique, for smaller surfaces, is to paint the area with a silver Sharpie. Once it dries, I use a dark brown Sharpie and basically color in the area. It gives a nice wood grain look. Here's a pic of my second technique on my '75 Int'l Scout II dash:
  11. Well if anyone wants to contact them, here's some info: Sales Contact: Jody Keener Phone: 319-365-5842 jlloydimports@aol.com
  12. Nope that doesn't work. If you didn't quite understand what he meant, he's saying that the software only keeps so many lines of the conversation available to scroll up and down to look at. However, there is a button above the reply box (with a hand holding a pen) that opens up a new tab/window and gives a transcript of the entire conversation since you've signed in.
  13. He's stuck on not throwing them out.
  14. Yeah I was getting an "incorrect login", and I tried both my site login as well as my username here. No dice. So guest it is!
  15. SO what's the status on this?
  16. Haha I was wondering what was up!
  17. I'm partial to no change, so I went back to the IP Board skin.
  18. Then how come all the Lincoln Town Car limos I see have doors on both sides?
  19. Great job for such a hidden part!
  20. Those appear to be a set of Volk Mesh wheels. Course, I don't know where you bought them from!
  21. Yeah I'm excited for the build. The kit is already built, but I painted the chassis/engine/drivetrain lowrider-style (gold, silver, chrome)...guess I was in a lowrider phase! Of course the exterior looks stock though, so it's kinda odd. I'm going to have my brother take some pics tomorrow of how it sits now. Oh yeah, when I was building it I accidentally painted the turn signals and back up lights on the lower half of the taillight. I threw them in some paint thinner to remove the paint, but I left them too long and they disintegrated, so I had to make my own out of a couple pieces of clear plastic. Course they suck, so I'm going to fab some new "lenses" out of sheet styrene, and cover them over with some clear nail polish, which I can then color to look like lenses. Edit: here's how it will approximately look:
  22. Fixed the picture! I do like the look of the Lincoln meshes, especially with the black centers.
  23. Found the wheels I'm going to use! I want to give it a modified look with aftermarket wheels, but don't want the drag look (Centerlines) or the generic muscle/pony car look (Torque-Thrusts) and I ended up finding the 19" Volk GTCs.
  24. I'm a Chevy guy, I admit it! Don't shoot! I just glanced at pictures on Google, and didn't really notice a difference. As I said above, how much of a difference is it at small scale?
  25. Would it make much of a difference at small scale though, especially if it's covered by the engine accessories/wires/hoses?
