  1. Nice to see all the project cars everyone has that would also make great projects in scale! My daily G37 would like to be in the model shop, but at least the previous G35 is there.
  2. Could you explain to a non-slot car person why the motor mounts with the gears at an angle to each other. I am an engineer so I'm very curious about this. It is interesting to see this conversion and I'm happy to see the motor in the rear on this!
  3. That is so sad and senseless.
  4. Good to see you back.
  5. You might also try this site: Police Car Models.com
  6. Ah, cool. I also used Poser .. since version 3. I had a Poser based web page and there's probably still a lot of my objects on Renderosity and others. Most of my rendering I did in 3DS Max .. the original 3D Studio from 1992 is what got me first interested in 3D .. when I saw what it did to car meshes! Your stuff looks really good .. I was suspecting Poser but you've done well modifying the figures. Best comment I can give you coming from another Poser user. I'm going to love seeing your finished graphic!
  7. That's cool, Romell ... nice renderings. I did a lot of 3D work maybe 10 years ago, but was only playtime for me. I'm curious where your figures came from and what software you're using? I was more a techie 3d-wise. I would make 3D objects for artistic friends work. I did make 3D images myself, with their guidance, but lets say I did better making a 3D boat trailer!
  8. I also confess. I always have my DSLR in my lap while driving and ready to go. I could be more dangerous than a texting teenager behind the wheel, but random cars are my game! And to think, I thought I was the only one addicted to this. Here's a few local shots from around town:
  9. Very nice! .. paint looks smooth enough to fly!
  10. If you love the latest Nissan Altima TV commercial, Devil in Disguise, ... you might be a young model car builder. note.. models here.. I added a link to it.
  11. That was a real gas!
  12. Cool looking build, but, please don't drive that thing in the sand with those wheels!
  13. If you ever painted your Christ Craft Power Boat bright yellow so you wouldn't loose sight of it in the pond before the firecrackers went off ... you might be a young model builder.
  14. That engine looks serious! I like this cut up Merc .. nothing is sacred!
  15. That thing looks fantastic! But, must be $50 in BMF on it!
  16. I've always been a devotee of "raiding Mom's sewing basket" for details. And your work has always inspired me, Jeff, but those two carbs in the first two photos! The innards and the top edges are what all carbs need ... got a quick comment about how those were done? You will have a big audience here if you do start some tutorials as you mention!
  17. All the textures make it so realistic! Beautiful!
  18. Looking great! Glad to see you back on this as I love this car. The interior is grand! I'm also happy to see you respected the Naugahyde Endangered Species Act. They were really over killed by the hunters using illegal Remington Roll & Pleat Specials during the '50s.
  19. Jeep is American? That's a cool idea ... and it already has right hand drive!
  20. You excel at getting the proportions right on your builds! That's looking REALLY good!
  21. Welcome, Will Great story!
  22. I'll give you a Welcome to the forum here, Will .. and please keep that soapbox with you!
  23. Jon's a good guy. I just sold him an original, never reissued Double Dragster kit for only $200 because he's so great. and .. welcome to the forum, Ken!
  24. Love those fins!!
  25. Sounds like Purple Power is working on that particular kit's chrome lacquer, so Dawn probably won't be required. All the suggested products here work to varying degrees on different manufacture's kits and different paint removal chores. I have most all of them in my arsenal ready for any paint/chrome/etc removal that comes up.
