  1. I was hoping Round 2 would revive the idea for this kit when they took over Lindberg. Hoping it comes to market this time!
  2. That's my one issue with this kit- something about the grille looks off. It just looks a little 'chunky' to my eye when compared to the 1:1.
  3. More or less, but more traditional in style. Or I might go rat rod with it. Not really sure what I'll do with it for now.
  4. I've long had the idea of building a '37 Ford pickup hot rod using the fenders and front end from a '37 Deluxe. To that end... The fender unit is of course from the long-lived Monogram street rod kit, and the cab used to be a Jimmy Flintstone Sedan Delivery. Eventually a '40 bed will be parked behind it. Will I finish it? Or will the project crash and burn? As always, you'll know when I know...
  5. Love it!
  6. Well, she's back in pieces now... the fun can officially start.
  7. I've seen a 13b torn down and always wondered if you could 'stack' the components like that- guess now I have my answer. Thanks, Bill- I think you just helped me out more than you could possibly imagine.
  8. I'm kicking around the idea of a project with tandem Mazda rotary engines, and on the cover of that issue is an Andy Brizio-built '32 Ford roadster with just such a setup. I'd like to see how everything was packaged in there, and I can't seem to find any pics online other than the image on the cover. The car still exists, but is now powered by a snooze-inducing SBC. I'd appreciate any help.
  9. I believe so- the salvage yard it's at is planning on using it to clear the paths during winter.
  10. Well, if you can call those padded tray tables in front of the firewall as 'seats'. I call cars like that 'technical two-seaters'.
  11. Love it! That thing just screams '70's to me... but in the best way possible.
  12. Surprisingly realistic for what they are! And the Freightshaker's nice too.
  13. Pair of decent black vinyl low back buckets, from an '88 Dodge cargo van of all things. I do have to clean them up a bit, though they don't look as grungy in person as they do in the pic.
  14. Nothing finer than a Factory Fresh Ford.
  15. Nice! We could use a few more choices when it comes to light truck tires.
  16. Next time that happens, pull up this picture and let 'em have it.
  17. I love going to junkyards, because you have no idea what kind of stuff you'll find...
  18. Forgot I had a couple more mauled Bumpsides in my Junkyard album...
  19. Spotted this beauty for sale in the Owosso area not too long ago- And sighted this sorrier example in the junkyard last week- Yep... once these kits arrive, I think I'll pretty much be dropping every other project.
  20. They were all aftermarket jobs up until 1980- that was the first year you could get a factory-issue dually pickup from Ford.
  21. I'm wondering how gaudy the decal graphics will be this time. Other than that these are very nice looking kits when cleanly built and detailed.
  22. You never see too many Dentside Super Cabs, and even fewer done up nicely, and even fewer than that done up as phantom duallies. This one has the 390 V8 up front and 33" Mickey Thompsons sandwiching a 9" out back.
  23. Here are some shots of the hydraulic pump and lines for the plow-
  24. My local classic car pusher. If you ever find yourself in the Chesaning, MI area, be sure to check them out.
