  1. No thanks.... I was up all night LAST night with a Hudson kit (jeez... that doesn't sound right does it... ), I've been awake about two hours now and I'm still dragging. The sidewinder sleeps tonight....
  2. As soon as I get a specific plan in mind, you'll see some pics. So far... I got nothin'.
  3. Don't worry Cranky, I'll be churning out a Hudson or two within the next few weeks.
  4. 1. Still haven't used my SA decals. (Hope that changes soon...) 2. Love the model. 3. WHERE DID THEY GET AN INTERNATIONAL PANEL TRUCK!!!!!
  5. Somewhere, there's a 'Full Classic' car nut screaming like a little girl! Love it.
  6. All I'm going to say is I like how this one came out. The kit may be far from great, but in the right hands it can be built into a pretty good looking model.
  7. Is this the same kit as the chopped verson reissued a couple years back? (Minus the chopped coupe body, of course.)
  8. I did not see it on the website, though the new coupe and the reissued '48 Woody are listed.
  9. Not a huge Chevelle fan myself, but even I can see they'll fill a void for sure. Seems like everybody wants all-new offerings, but there's quite a bit of stuff that's needed to change and improve existing kits. Replacement hoods are right up that alley.
  10. A zany little hot rod... WITH A FARMALL 300 grille! Love it.
  11. A couple of young tourists are pulled over by a highway patrolman. The officer walks up, asks for the driver's license and registration, and when he doesn't get it quickly enough, whacks the driver in the head. "That's for not having your driver's license ready," he snaps. "I ain't got all day." After he issues the driver a ticket, the patrolman walks around to the other side of the car and whacks the passenger in the head. "Owwww!" hollers the passenger. "What'd you do that for?" "That's to make your dream come true," replied the cop. "I know that when you'd gotten a half-mile down the road, you were gonna say to your friend here, 'Wish he'd tried that with me!'" **** A banker is proudly driving his brand-new Jaguar sedan around New York City. On reaching his destination, he parks the car at the curb and gets out on the traffic side. Just as he opens the door, a taxicab slams into it, ripping the door right off its hinges. The cabby drives off as if nothing extraordinary has occurred. A policeman who witnesses the whole thing walks up to the banker, who is now wailing loudly, "Ohhh myyy gaaawdd! Look what that idiot did to my new Jaaaaggguuuaar! The cop looks at the banker, shakes his head, and says, "You bankers are so materialistic! Here you are whining about your expensive car, and you don't even realize the cab tore off your arm!" The banker looks down at where his arm used to be and begins to wail loudly, "Ohhhh myyy gaawd, my Rolllllleeeexxx is gone!" **** Someone at the auto repair shop locked the owner's keys inside his car. While the locksmith was working on the driver's-side door lock, the anxious owner walked up and tried the passenger's-side door. It opened. The locksmith looked up. "Yeah, I already got that one." ****
  12. Some casters do keep a stock of their more common parts, but even then, it is sometimes a crapshoot- maybe that part that's been selling like hotcakes for the last six months will be collecting dust all of a sudden, and some other part that wasn't as popular will see more demand. Some of these casters sell their products to second parties such as STAR Models or hobby shops- if you're worried about a long wait it is never a bad idea to check out such a source and see if they have that casters part in stock.
  13. Nice. It does have the promo look down cold. I usually never build replica stock but this is my favorite Ford truck body style, and one of these days I want to build one in 'fresh off the dealer's lot' form.
  14. I think they pitched the Merc kit the same way- it came with two bumper setups, two wheel/tire combinatons, at least three grilles, and two hoods, among other choices. You could build it as one version or the other, both were custom. And of course mixing and matching was possible. I do see what they're getting at, but it's really one version with a few building options- its a custom no matter what.
  15. One of Jim's Terraplane noses put to VERY good use.
  16. I don't know what planet everybody else is on, but ALL the Nashes I've ever seen up close and in person are Pro Street! Yeah, mostly Ramblers, but still.
  17. An old man lived alone in out in the country . He wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, as the ground was hard. His only son, Vincent, who used to help him, was in prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament: Dear Vincent, I am feeling pretty sad because it looks like I won't be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I'm just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days. Love, Papa A few days later he received a letter from his son. Dear Papa, Don't dig up that garden. That's where the bodies are buried. Love, Vinnie At 4 a.m. the next morning, FBI agents and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son. Dear Papa, Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That's the best I could do under the circumstances. Love you, Vinnie
  18. The ancestor of the AMC Eagle has landed.... I have not one, but two of 'em!
  19. Maybe- it would be a TON of cut and paste. The Citation would be better as conversion material for an Omega- but I'm not going there until I finish my 'Cavalier to Firenza' conversion.... IF I ever finish that one. As far as converting the Monte to a Cutlass, it seems straightforward enough- reshape the rear quarter windows and wheel arches, then use putty to build up the fenders to add the Olds character lines.
  20. If you are running it in a Mustang, you might like to consider swapping out that gigantic pickup AOD tranny for a passenger car automatic, or a 5-speed stick from a Fox or SN-95 Mustang kit. Or, many of the parts off this engine will fit the Mod motors from existing Mustang kits.
