  1. One of the members here, shucky, does some really cool resin turbos.
  2. Are trucks ok? when they're this good, yes. Yes they are.
  3. Oh, and I guess I could add- even though the kit is supposed to be a 1-ton, the 4x4 front axle has coil springs, when a '79 F-350 would have had parallel leaves. It would be correct for an F-100 or F-150 though.
  4. The tubs don't look too wide, looks like about half what you see in the pic will be covered up by the inner wall of the bed. You still might be able to stuff a pretty good sized tire in there.
  5. The background might be okay if you did a blackwash on the raw parts to highlight the details. But in any case, some pretty cool stuff on your site!
  6. Curt- found a guy who might be holding a few- you have a PM.
  7. ^ See? He could have chosen from many other less-savory quotes from that flick!
  8. THAT is the most common issue I see. I have no problem with people disagreeing or offering constructive criticism, but some people just do not have a grip on wording things properly... and that includes me!
  9. Keep yer wagons guys... I'm doing one as a panel.
  10. Not soon enough, though!
  11. Has a pack of Marlboros and a Zippo lighter too. Nice filler stuff for a diorama.
  12. What he said. The Model King reissue is based on the Super Stones issue (the instructions still have the logo), and the 2wd parts are there, but not called out on the instructions.
  13. That's why I didn't want to get into the accuracy thing with Revell. Ah, the outcry over the Novas and the '72 Olds still rings in my ears. Given the fact that the Monogram/Revell Fox kits which already exist are flawed, I'll be bracing myself when/if this Revell Coupe is out!
  14. REALLY like that color on the Challenger- that would look good on a 1:1. Great model, and cool tribute to your brother.
  15. Other than the Mercury version having only four grille bars and slightly different trim, they were identical to the F-Series Fords.
  16. I don't think it was an F-100, IIRC it was an F-350 Camper Special, 1979 vintage. Model King reissued that kit as the stock version about six years ago, but I think its out of produciton now.
  17. Three, maybe four. Usually I like to seciton the body at least the same amount as the top chop up to a certain point. But yeah, I think a 3" section would work pretty well on this particular body.
  18. And Jim- if you can, a trip out to Dean's is well worth the trip!
  19. And there's the thorny issue of 'if' that Revell notchback will ever be released. When it comes to Revell, I have pretty much adopted an "I'll believe it when its sitting on the shelf at the hobby shop" mentality. Maybe I'm being a bit too pessemistic, but given Revell's recent history of either taking forever to release a kit after it is announced or never bothering to release it at all, my hopes of this Revell coupe aren't too high. And I don't even want to get into the 'will it be any better than what's avaialable already' side of things as far as accuracy goes...
  20. According to the churning rumor mill, that might be happening, though I wouldn't hold my breath for a 'base-optioned' example of said car.
  21. Love the progress on the model, and really dig the 1:1. That would be an attention grabber here in the States, I'll bet it's a neck-snapper in Australia!
  22. Well, Jason DID mention something about Marty's design as a Cougar. And the fact that his post 'against' Jason's first post showed more than a litte bit of evidence of him having a sense of humor, and he didn't come right out and tell Marty to get lost tells me he isn't too concerned with the conversation taking a bit of a detour.
