Looks good. The manifold came out much better than I would had expected in the first photo. The intake is stunning. Great work.

I'm curious as to why you ask about the hose. Can you elaborate? -

Sir, if this makes you mildly happy, I'd like to see what it takes to make you happy. It looks amazing, especiallyknowing what you started with. -
I asked Mike Sullivan several years ago about info on the blue and white Fiat. He told me at the time he didn't have any pictures or know of any chassis shots. Even the Steve Reyes feature of it in DRUSA is very lacking of chassis details. The linked restoration pics are great but are not the original chassis. Unfortunately the hard drive I'd stored every thing on crashed so like most of my research materials, they're gone.

Kyle Petty Mello Yello AMT Kit.
iBorg replied to Benfd54's topic in Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
I need to build a Kyle Petty car or buy an exceptional diecast. I've got several of the Kyle Petty AMT cars and just haven't considered them. I'll need to change that. Nice build showing the possibilities of this kit. -
That's an impressive conversion.
-
I'd love to know what kits are included. I hope they are of the quality to encourage people to build.

I'd be all over getting a couple more Fireball dragsters.

Several kits to choose from.....my favorite is from the Revell drag kits.
-
I may be interested......what kits do you have?

The leaves look really nice as does the finished bush. What scale are the leaves supposed to represent? -
I've seen pictures of this car before. It looks like you nailed it.

NICE!!! One of those details no one would notice but it contributes greatly to the realism of the car. -
Looking at this again.....really nice. What did you use for the front axle?

Look at model railroad stuff. I'd suggest Walters.com as a starting point. -
Impressive. I've got both kits but never thought of this conversion. I look forward to seeing this one finished.

And the top of the radiator and the radiator cap.

There appears to be some buzz that Ford might bring back the Pinto nameplate. Some of the info online isn't believable while this video does look possible. This looks like an updated late model Escort. Maybe Ford would rather bring back the Pinto name to go along with their other horse names (Bronco, Maverick and Mustang) for a new model release. If so, maybe they don't want a Poison Pinto on the shelves. Here's a link to a video that might be real.

Model Car Display for Show NOT Diarama
iBorg replied to Ralphie's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I think Steve is right. Is the display part of an overall model or is it a distraction. For example I built the Bates mansion from Psycho. The base was built to match outside still shots from the first movie. The base is part of the model. I've seen other models where it seems like the base is trying to distract you from deficits of the model. Of course that can be a good thing. At a contest a person had a really nicely built GT40. the builder asked why it seemed to get ignored then the discussion came around to the left side door being opened (driver sits on the right. The judge suggested he get a mechanic filter to be looking into the car. The mechanic would be a distraction from the non driver's side door being opened.
