Outstanding build and interesting information/back story. I wish I had saved/decanted all those old Pactra and AMT paints, they were so cool back then. Your Candy finish looks great.

The kit actually gave two options for the air cleaner, stock and cowl version. I thought the cowl version was very cool so I chose that option.
Thank you Mike. It's a 67 GM color, originally purchased from a now defunct company called Rainbow Products. It's an acrylic lacquer, with their clear applied and polished.
This is not a bad kit at all. It goes together nicely, just about everything fits well, and it looks good when finished. Is my build 100% factory stock? Nope. Do I care? Nope. I could have added more detail and I actually screwed up the body script decals by using the wrong ones placed incorrectly. Do I care? Nope. I had fun building it and painting it and adding what detail I did. After all, that's what it's all about to me, enjoying what and how I build something, and it's an easy kit to build. I like easy. ? It's painted in Bolero Red with a non-stock tan interior. The black stripes came with the kit, along with white ones as well. The current issue of this kit adds silver stripes in addition to black and white. Thanks for looking.
Very well done build. I think you really did the car and your hometown justice with this build. I'm actually old enough to remember a lot of these regional specials from back in the day. Yours looks great in orange with black vinyl. I especially like the 68 Dart hubcaps, nice touch.
Great build Michelle. I really like the color, the monochromatic appearance with painted bumpers. and the subtle "R/T" badges on the rear quarter panels.
