  1. Even the old Merit kits have a certain charm and lots of character !
  2. Fellas, Looks like the MPC Mr. Norm's Charger is it ! I just perused epay and guess what ...this pic matchs the underbody of my photo. Thanks for everyone's input !!!
  3. Folks, I recently purchased this 1969 Dodge Charger body, at first glance seems to be an MPC product of year ago. But I don't recognize this particular body as one that I've ever seen before, for one the hood is molded in. Secondly, the posts for the glass inserts are noticeably shorter than the ones I've seen in the past. I questioned several Chrysler gurus and kit kings and no one can recall the kit that included this particular Charger, any thoughts ? Pete L.
  4. Great job, I can't wait to see the pick-up truck !!!
  5. Super work, nice to see the old kits still holding their own !!!
  6. Greg, Nice save ! I'm a big fan of "back in the day builds" ! I'm on a crusade of sorts to try to build the models that I tried to build when I was a kid, but messed up ! Monogram's early releases hold a certain fascination as do early AMT kits such as yours !!! Thanks for sharing, Pete L.
  7. Mark, Super build, really captured the era to a "T" !!!
  8. Ron, Thanks for the great review, I never knew the kit had so much to offer !!!
  9. I'm interested as well...
  10. Tim, Thanks again for your in depth reviews of the newly released kits !!! Pete L.
  11. Super nice work...the best build of that kit I've seen in my time !!!
  12. AWESOME !!!!!
  13. Greg, What a super nice build...lots of attention to detail and a great finish !!!
  14. Folks, I see that the new decal sheet allows the builder to construct either the #43 car or Joe Milikan's #04 that ran out of the Petty shops 'back in the day".
  15. Fellas, I'd really like to see some aftermarket parts and decals produced to build these cars above ! Maybe a later reissue by Round 2 will have the stuff available in the box ?
  16. Fellas, I'm looking at a gasser, I wish someone would make decals for this one...
  17. Great build, really captures the look of the era !!!
  18. Fellas, Not a complaint but, I don't see the "Salt Flat Racer" part(s) in the pictures. I recall that the kit in question was a variant of the gasser but didn't include front fenders, instead a "filler piece" of plastic was included for each side to streamline the front of the car. Also included in that issue was one pair of tall narrow two piece tires for the rear of the car. I believe he tires were actually the front tires that were included in the reissues of the Willard Battery Spl. Indy Roadster...
  19. Ron, Thanks for the great review, now I have to run out and buy one/some...the Holman/Moody and Competition Proven decals are super !!!
  20. Steve, Awesome build, very inspirational to say the least...thanks for sharing !!!
  21. Fellas, My all time favs, STOCK, Super Stock, and Junior Fuel (small block powered fr. engine dragsters from "back in the day"), Fox needs to broadcast the Sportsman classes in a different show for the diehards...
  22. Vernon, Great job, I think the '56 looks really "sporty" as a pick-up !!!
  23. Phil, Great job, thanks for sharing !!!
  24. Mark, Thanks for the info on the chrome tree. Monogram sure got mileage out of that '30 Ford kit !
