This Lindbergh kit is a reboxed Pyro. I built the Pyro decades ago, and it was a real challenge; as I recall, the original didn’t have chromed parts. Good luck.

BTW, I found some very good piano wire wheels from Le Mans, intended for the Bugatti Tank slot racer, which I got for the AMT and Matchbox T59 kits. Terrific job. I had a 66 GT Sprint Veloce. Did the kit start out as a GTA? They typically had modified wide fenders.

Note that the covered spare tire appears most often on the Spezial roadster, whereas your kit is an amalagam of a Type A, B or C cabriolet. The Spezial roadster is replicated in the 1/16 kit boxed by different companies. EDIT: You will also note that the Spezial roadster as a different, split windshield than the cabrios.

Note that those 3 cars were based on the 1900 chassis but had a similar-looking 4-cylinder dohc engine. One thing about the Giulietta model kit is that it mostly resembles the bulk of Alfas sold as 1600 Giulias, not 1300 Giuliettas. It gets complicated because there were occasionally crossover features during the transition. But the hood scoop, steering wheel, taillights and glove box door are typical Giulia, not Giulietta.

This could also be made into the Tom Mix parade Cord with its interesting cowboy touches. It’s also a good reference for converting the AMT 1/12 2-seater into a cabriolet with a back seat (cut away the convertible storage panel seam, make a back seat and make some simple cuts on the top for the rear vent windows; otherwise, the body and wheelbase are the same).

My plan for this was to replace the side louver panels with the more typical horizontal chrome vents from the Johan or Heller kits.

I’ve been collecting Gullwing memorabilia for years, and this is spot-on. Best Tamiya build I’ve seen.
