  1. Last I heard from those in charge........data base error that takes time to fix. Those that have access to DB do not have time to fix issue......so nothing has been started yet.....no eta....very sad if we lost all that data.....some personal accounts from folks that lived it and are now passed......can not replace that.
  2. Put the fire engine optional parts in the Baja VW and you have a hit!!!
  3. Make the dozer a KAT.....I did!!!!
  4. I don't think this is the death of Revell.....law requires assets to be sold. It MAY mean R2 holds all the US based kit molds.......but I think Revell has more value as a model co than what molds sitting in China will as scrap. (add in the China lean on tooling cut in China and you have a mess)
  5. For Hot Wheels I use lacquer thinner....
  6. I used ARII Japanese aftermarket wheels on mine....a tiny bit large but I like them. My understanding the model is of a tribute car....IE it's wasn't a TV or movie used car. It was just a nice repro of the star car.....the 1/1 is just like the model. It's pretty easy to obtain the parts needed to repro either TV or movie versions.
  7. Doesn't leave many from Dick Van Dyke show.....Jerry had a great episode. RIP
  8. Had that back in the day......want another!!!
  9. Very cool work!!
  10. Modelhaus had them....don't know of another caster. Good news is the old Monogram kits are CHEAPER than aftermarket right now!!!
  11. I was a tester for Mattel during the Hot Wheels development. I was at a mall in So Cal shopping with my Mom. A lady walked up and asked my Mom if I could look at some toy cars and give my opinion. We said yes and we went to a large room were they had the basic HW track set up along with the Mattel cars and a equal number of Matchbox cars. They had me look and play with all the cars and then they asked me about them. I had all the Matchbox cars they were using and was blown away by the Hot Wheels. Needless to say I gave the HW two thumbs up!! About 2 months later I got a box with that orange track, clamp and a Firebird conv.....I still have the car....that early track tended to split and was tossed when the production stuff was made. I still have all my original cars.....and more than I care to admit to. We gave Samaritans Purse Christmas Child project 3000 mint cars last year.....and my son is now the collector and gave him half my collection for Christmas this year. I still have too many!!!!
  12. I want to build that one........I did the Packard from Monogram.....nice kits!!!
  13. Monogram 1983-86 Thunderbird has those wheels.

  18. That has been around for years.......PRACTICE on a junker if you want to try.....I never mastered it.....cut wandered on me and never was happy with results.....but I am sure there are more skilled folks here!!

  20. I;ve seen that kit before....love to have one. I like oddball kits and a SW fan so I think it would be cool.
  21. ALWAYS good here!!!!
  22. AND made of nasty aluminum too!!!!! Oh the horrors!!!! Full disclosure I have a 16 F-150 and love it....but do think GM could be more original.
