  1. I'd agree with that!!!
  2. I too built the kit.....Gen2 test shot. I'll need to pull it from the pile....but my notes said trim fit nicely on my version. Maybe things changed.
  3. I've had the same idea......but way down on the list. You are going into more detail than I planed.....so I'll just watch!!! GREAT film IMHO.....
  4. The chrome separate side body trim locates over the small body trim molded to the body. The test shots I saw it worked VERY well. SteveG may be able to explain better.
  5. I was asking as I glued mine closed as they didn't look right. Yours look good and wondered if you had to glue them too. Thanks
  6. Nice work on a kit often overlooked. I kinda wish Revell would add stock wheels and reissue it. What wheels and tires are those....and did you do anything to the doors???? Thanks
  7. This kit is full of great engineering.......wait until you build the front suspension.......
  8. To me the big issue is the creation of the art for the models. I have fully mastered 2D artwork that I use with my laser cutter to cut parts for models. I even sold a few at one time. When 3D printers started to hit the market I got some 3D software and tried to 'draw' some VERY simple parts.......I failed. If I had spent more time....maybe....but the time it would take means less time with my classic cars, models and trains that eat all my time now. Some will and have mastered it very well.....but I do not think the average guy will master creating artwork AS WE KNOW IT TODAY. That too will change someday. Laser cut model......
  9. I was told by a long time Monogram/Revell employee that the 'Classic' car kits were the worst sellers in the kit line.....every time they were issued. Really sad as I love automotive subjects of all eras. Monogram Packard......
  10. MY Exact thought.........be different........
  11. 1/16 scale Entex/Bandi kit was a coupe/notch. VERY hard to kind. None in 1/25 plastic.......saw a resin once.....never saw another.
  12. Tom IIRC you will not find a #43 Dodge NASCAR truck box.....never made it to production. They killed the truck kits right before this. There were only one or two Dodge kits......
  13. Some folks try to say the Tucker fans twisted facts to make a better story......I don't think they had to do anything...... Agreed....a HAVE TO SEE film. Own a copy in fact.
  14. On the Moebius and Hudson thing....... There is cut in stone logic why we have Hudson's from Moebius.........
  15. Been told the same story by someone who was there........if only it had happened. I fully buy into the Lucas/Ford-Copala version of the Tucker story. Both men own Tuckers and have done much research on the car/man/company. KILLED by the big 3 out of pure fear. I have the Danbury and Modelhaus versions.......want a plastic kit.....even a curbside. But not holding breath......
  16. Nice work on a not to easy kit. I built one a few years back as a 1/25 scale Hot Wheels!!!
  17. I have the 1/35 German locos too.......1/25 General and some HO static kits. I also have a bunch of 1950's era loco kits in various scales.
  18. It's not a model car........but if it was it'd be among the rarest....... A Rivirossi AHM 1/48 scale plastic model kit. I wanted on of these back in 1972 but they sold for $20.....a HUGE sum back then. Took me this long to find a extra mint kit.
  19. During a recent conversation with someone who freelanced for RC2 back to the AMT era........ We discussed a number of kits that we almost got. None got tooling but some did get research and/or drawings done. Most were along the lines of the Studie and Olds........GREAT subject matter.......but not big box seleers. How I wish some of these had been made.........
  20. Part gold..........Testors Inca Gold IIRC.......
  21. I never had an issue with pin fitting........the only thing I altered in my 4 builds was I lightly sanded the window openings so glass snapped in easier.......very little......and that may have been just me with paint and foil build up.
  22. Part of the issue is some of us may have gotten used to these super polished mirror like finishes of some recent kit. The Revell snapers are the most polished I have ever seen!! My Hudsons look perfect for some mold line clean up, primer and paint.
  23. Next Moebius Hudson due is a Club Special IIRC...... PS....this ain't ugly........
