I am in for this also . The '70 Shelby is the same as a '69 . Some small changes to made it mandate perfect to sell as a '70 MY . Like one for instance ; shoulger harness - the Shelby already had . The ring type Reverse lockout/ingition lockout - already swithched in the '69 MY on all Mustangs . I am building a tributre build in Grabber Orange . The GT 350 has the 289 - 302 dressed in Shelby Garb on the outside , to answer your question Kelson . Thanx ..

Looking for Resin Holley 4160 Carburators
dimaxion replied to Force's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Matte Conte is still selling . Weather or not his products remain to be seen IMHO . I am still owed and he responded again with a date for me to get what I paid for . Still waiting ............... His listings at Evil Bait are : Lookout Model Products . Casten parts . Unbelievably ; Decon Resins . He is a member here . I cannot access his ratings at E-Bay ?? Can anyone do so and let me know what his rating is ? IMHO ; don't buy from him unless it is face to face with his product you are paying for in his hands . Other wise .. IMHO kiss your funds goodbye . Thanx .. -
The 4 dr . '68 Cornet was not done by Modelhaus as R&R offered one . He will not willingly direct compete . Especially with those he knows and are Pioneers like themselves . This is IMHO from the conversations I shared with these fine people . Why should this come to pass as there are so many other subjects sellable still not done in this Hobby ? I've done business with Resin Casters since the early (Pioneer) days . There are threads and positive comments about who's who's in this Hobby Segment constantly . Norm Veeber , Don & Carol , Dick Dodge , and many others deserving the high marks given to them without failure . These folks are Modelers and treat customers as they would like to be treated . There needs to be more of this in the world , IMHO. Thanx ..

Modelhaus conversion is the 442 Version . I have this as a WIP . The '68 MY 442 is a Stand Alone Model . IIRC the F-85 was dropped by the '66 MY ? Thanx ..

You are right Casey . When the first '37 Ford Sedan hit the Market , a close friend in a Hobby Shop promised me the parts from a Monogram '36 Ford Kit for the Stock parts . Si , I relented and bought it . I finally traded this off this year for something I would build . The '36 Ford was 10 years off the Market then . It did not occur to me to consider this kit for 1/24 scale when I did that Post . Thanx , Casey

The Holden's Hero or any rendition of the WW II Jeep is perfect for a '33 -'34 - '38 - '40 - '41 Willy's Kit you would turn into a factory stock Willy's . I don't think I missed any bodies here that were available at one time or another . The '41 "Go Devil" is an easy Engine to duplicate . The dual Carb Intake & carbs in the Jeep kits (using a second Air Filter set-up on the second Carb.) is this more powerful and responsive Power Plant . Beyond 1941 , it was not available on the Charts I have . IIRC it put out in the range of high 80-90 HP range . Thanx ..

Another Happy Camper here . I have the '65 Mustang and the '70 mach I . Both are great kits . Now for something completely different , I plan on more purchases . I am in communication with Kevin for another upcoming kit . Thanx ..

The 1/25 Scale AMT '36 Ford will work if it is 1/25 scale . IIRC , this is a 1/25 scale casting . The Revelle 1/25 Scale '37 Ford Pick up or Panel truck will work . Tghe Running gear , cahssis are trhe same at Ford these years . The Wheels / Tires / Hub Caps are the same '36 - '39 MY's . The seats , door and Interior trim you have to scratch build . The dash , you will have to do some rerearch . Steering wheel is mosy probably the same as the Truck version . Once again , research is required . 1/24 Scale leaves you only the '37 monograms . The chassis , interior , wheels , tires , Hub Caps , chassis and Stock Flathead Running gear . I cannot come up with a source . If you need information , don't hesitate to PM me . Thanx ..

To all here , especially : Joe . Jeff & Russ . Hi , as a founding member of YAMA , yes we are defunct . We met at Amer's Hobby Shop . This LHS was well known worldwide IIRC . I was always meeting persons from around the World there . Howard Amer Sepcialized in Scale Railroad and carried "plastics" . Many changes in our lives broke it up . I relocated to NE Indiana . The survivors did Carry on . Three of us originals keep in contact . One Member formed GLFAM (I am missing some initials here) . He is still active and on <scalefirehouse.com> . I think the Group Expanded into other Genra while some of it is may still be active . A Canadian Group was associated to GLFAM . Time and age caught up to us all . Life is about change . PM me for any questions you might have . I certainly miss the Shows in Toledo , Oh, the great peolpe I've met and consider friends . The survivors and those that have passed . Welcome and Enjoy .... Thanx ..

I did not know all this discussion was going on . About the Mod Top . I am in for this ! I will add : In '68 I built the only available Johnny Come lately Camero kit from AMT at that time . I painted it Rally Green with a Decal I got somewhere on the roof . It did nothing but clash as it was light colored w/ flowers . I did source it from a Kit somewhere ? It was an eyesore and looked just right to me . I am in for this '70 Cuda . I've been trying for 2 decades (at least) to restore a glue bomb '70 Hemi Cuda . rats or mice chewed up the Stock hood . I bought a resin for a Hemi . I am needing a Stock Chassis , steelies / poverty caps , and glass to finish this stalled project up . Thanx you Modelhaus and Katie Decals . I've gathered all but these pieces lacking I've described . This including Paint and Hockey Stripes . Unfortunatly , along the way I did collect up a '72 - "74 (I'm not sure about the bumper guard length) MPC Pro Stock Hemi "Cuda . Glass was broken in the box ?? A Jo-han S&M Kit . The glass was missing in the box ?? I think I'll trade these off as these will not supply what I need anyway . I did not even dream steelins and poverty caps would ever appear for this and a '70 RR stalled build I am sitting on . I am in line for this one also . Thanx ..

Umm , Ummm . I dissagree . These aren't Honeycombs . Honeycombs consist of IIRC Octaganal (8 sided) shapes . On the Pontiacs , these shapes filling the hub to rim portion of the wheels . Aa nice as these are , I remember these as "Uncle Snirdly's" or "Acme" Aftermarket Rims . My 2 cents . I bought two sets of these for my '71 & '72 Pontiac GTO's i have as WIp's . Thanx ..

I remember a "four in a row Holly" cover on a Hot Rod Magazine . Inside of the Article Titled : '1500 HP on Pump Gas'. This Carb was ontop of a 427 Cammer . The resin kit . I just don't know . I am famaliar with the IMC / Union '48 Ford & Jo-Han 427 Cammers . I've never seen this carb in model form and one on a Drag Car at a Car Show . The kit Cammers had 2 4 bbls. . Thanx ..

Hey , I would be in for any Independent . I have my fill of Brand X . Ford and MoPar will fit the bill also . Thanx ..

Doc , I've admired your work . I've never "met" (seen here or otherwhere) a build of yours I did not like . You don't even build my genre . I am a follower ... ELECTRICTIFING !! is all I can add . A tribute to Nicolia . Also your execution / completion of building skills . Thanx ..

I am seeking the rest of these as I have some . The dies were in transit on The Great Lakes to Monogram from Aurora . A storm came up ... The Great Lakes Historically have had more Shipwrecks than anywhere else in the World . Unless this Tooling or some of them escaped this Boatload these are just a memory . A Dusenbergh Prototype did make it into a Running Complete Show one off . The last time I saw it located in the ACD Museum on display . The 1:1 was a Dark Maroon Coupe with a MoPar / A 727 / 440 Loaded IIRC . Different than the Exner and Exner Jr. Designs quite a bit . The Model you did here does this kit justice . The GM ish V/12 is a put off for me . The Impala ('58-'60) Steering wheel is nice . Keep up the great work . Thanx ..

I have the Anglia (my first 1:1 car) , Volvo P 1800 , Cortina and the Tanus (Aquired at Minatures and Replicas of Maryland) WIPs . He does ship overseas to the US . Paying for these presents no problem . I did not have Pay Pal nor Credit Card . We used International Bank Transfer . I am a Happy Camper . Ah , yes , curerentlty stuck on some details . Thanx ..

Out Of Production Resin & Aftermarket Products
dimaxion replied to Casey's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I am slightly underwhelmmed here . I've tried to post this same information , twice . mike's Miniture Motors kits re as follows . The Studebaker Convertable is a '52 MY . This was the Indy 500 Pace Car that May . The 1911 Chevrolet is a WIP at Missing Link . Thanx .. -
I did buy the same kit advertised for years from Model Empire quite awhile ago IIRC . It had glue on the Grille and the Engine was missing . I was able to remove the glue , wash the grille and buy a Resin Engine . I feel your pride as you deserve praise . Attaboy .. You like blue , I like green . So it appears we have twins . Well as Blue is the same as green less a few drops of yellow . Just right .. Thanx ..

What's the deal with Johan
dimaxion replied to Kaleb's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thank you Mark and Dan : I am glad for the responses . In the '80's I bought 5 Javelin AMX kits with three different numbers on them . I was able to break the Code by this course of action . I had originally planned to do all 4 years of both Javelin and Javelin AMX . All five were in Identical boxes . Yellowish Stock Version (1:1) car on one side . The other side has pictures of the Police Pursuit '67 Plymouth , the Heavenly Hearse and the Fire Rescue Ambulance Box Arts . Listings of Challenger , Javelin AMX Pro Stock , Barracuda Pro Stock , maverick pro Stock , Pinot Funny Car on the left side . Mustang Funny Car , Toronado , Hornet Funny Car , Eldorodo , Cutlass Funny Car , Torino NASCAR Racer on the right side . Other Jo-Han Kits in the middle . A Yellow AMX Javelin Drag racer on the top , with "You've been Zapped" across the Trunk Lid Spoiler . There was a spot blurred out . I think is where Seville censored out Jo-Han Models . I had to landfill most of my boxes . I still have these 4 . One has a '72 RBT. Two have the '73?/'74 RBT . The '71 is White Plastic . It is sans the Sterring wheel , gutted interior , racing Steering Wheel , Roll cage , Minilite Wheels , T-Top roof , The ;72 is red plastic , Magnum 500 Wheels . The '73/'74 Kits have differences . one I'll call the '73 has white plastic , Magnum 500's . The '74 has an off biege plastic with .. Minilights . These are my WIPs Javelins . All 6 Javelin AMX's came in the same Boxes . The '71 with T-Roof and the '72 sans T-roof . I did downsize and landfilled a large percentage of my MT boxes + bagged most kits unbuilt . Those built ups Boxes are gonzo . All 4 I still have have GC-1600 . This leads me to believe all are Seville re-pops . Sevliie just made kits with no understanding what was what as a Start up business . I appreciate the further information . I am greatful for the corrdctions . I fear I may have muddied up the waters . Would I buy more AMC's .. yes .. Would a Camaro Fan Buy multi releases of the same Camaros ? Thanx .. -
The '68 Body has small round side markers as all MoPars that MY. Chrysler paid fines . The Product Identify , priceless . In the '69 MT , Chrysler paid a fines again . For the same reason , the same results . Rectangular reflectors both Fore and Aft . The requirement is Lights , a certain size and shape . Did it ever occur to you why the "govermnent" seem to have it in for Chrysler ? Maybe this is ? Thumbing a Nose to the "Requirements" has a cost . Hmmm ... Thanx ..

It is a Model , that ios my votwe and I'm sticking to it . The Knock offs don't look right as the Wheels . The door gaps are a nice touch .. Thanx ..
