  1. Well done. Nice little hot rod.
  2. Talk about "a silk purse from a sow's ear". You really pulled this one off.
  3. Great project. I like them all. They bring back a lot of memories.
  4. Very hot looking hot rod in an intriguing color which in the photos has a butterscotch or caramel tone.. Pure eye candy
  5. Congratulations on sculpting a very attractive piece of hot rod art work!
  6. You really nailed the era look appropriately using an early Deuce kit.
  7. Great to see your very well done early Cougar which has always been a favorite of mine. I have an R&D Unique body which eventually become a Trans-Am. I remember seeing a new British Racing Green GT and was impressed how Jag-like the interior was with the "wood" dash, lots of gauges and even toggle switches.
  8. Thanks Curt They do look fantastic together. I am not saying same but different but there are similarities.
  9. Very well done conversion into one of the great cars of the 1980's
  10. I have been a fan of the Beatnik Bandit and Ala Kart since the Barris/Roth interview appeared in Rod & Custom magazine in the very early sixties. I would love to see a photo of both your Beatnik Bandit and Ala Kart posed together. I don't know if that ever happened in reality.
  11. Gasser/Catalina/Bonneville controversy aside the custom parts in this kit are very nice as was highlighted by the Brad Leisure box art on a previous issue.
  12. Looks fabulous as is and will only get better with suspension and wheels.
  13. You captured the look perfectly. I would sure like to attend one of these events.
  14. Thanks Bernard - Here is a link to my TROG builds. Happy New Year.
  15. Maybe this style should be known as Rally of Gentlemen cars!!?? I sure like them.
  16. Congratulations on a very productive and creative year. Looking forward to more of the same in 2018.
  17. I appreciated you pointing it out and now that I see it I cannot resist the challenge of trying to correct it. I have already penciled a more correct shape and I am formulating an action plan.
  18. Yes Len I have to agree with you that the Mini Exotic hood is too short and is an aspect of the design I failed to identify and correct although a I think a fix would be very difficult. I had a look to see if I had a '58 Corvette hood but remembered I had sanded off the louvers.
  19. I am not sure if I will be able to finish the complete model before the end of the year but I have got the interior done. The color is a mix of Testor’s Pontiac Engine Blue and Metallic Black. Although Mini-Exotics did provide a nicely engraved resin center panel with gauges, crest and texture detail, I made a decal of the panel in the 1/1 car which had been autographed by two of the renowned drivers who raced the SR-2 - John Fitch and Jim Jeffords. The tach is also a decal of the actual 8,000 RPM unit in the 1/1. Pull straps were added to the inner door panels. [I am still learning about by new camera which seems to be hit and miss in terms of fully focused depth of field]
  20. Great looking HOT rod. Very nice build!!
  21. It is really great to see such a fabulous build of this venerable Deuce. I wonder if those in the know have any knowledge if there is a possibility that Round 2 could do a reissue. I am hoping so as it looks like if combined with a chopped 3-window Coupe you could build a close replica of the album cover Chili Catallo Little Deuce Coupe.
  22. Very impressive model of an historically significant racing car. Well done.
  23. This is a very tough looking Deuce Sedan. I have seen a couple of 1/1's built in this style and have really been attracted to them. You have really captured that look. I am very impressed with how low you managed to get your Sedan.
  24. Another fabulous Ford. Beautifully built.
