Thank you Jeremy. That may be true but I haven't seen any evidence of it in my research. The colors seem to match in all the photos I've seen online. What I have seen are about three different shades of Vitamin-C orange. The nose pieces on those cars were fiberglass and could have easily been painted to match the body. Unlike the polypropylene more commonly used these days which can sometimes be more difficult to color-match exactly. Thanks for taking the time to post a comment Peter. Maybe somebody out there has a more knowledgeable answer than the observation based response I offered. David G.

Hello Everybody! Here's the last update for this weekend. The interior is completed. I managed to get a satisfactory looking woodgrain on the center console and pistol grip shifter. I also added a turn signal lever using a bit of guitar string. There'll be more updates as they occur... and as I have time to post them. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

Ah, that looks like the DC Comics version with some Barris influences. The modifications you made work quite well. Nicely Done! I built the plastic version of this kit and it's one of my favorite Batmobiles. I did mine in Tamiya TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue. David G.

Hello Everybody! Here's a little bit of an update. Unsurprisingly, the chrome coating on the wheels left a little to be desired so I decided to strip and repaint them. Here they are with Rustoleum Chrome Silver, lightly sprayed. And now with the basic detail painting. I'll do the touch-up work after the tires are mounted, right before installation. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.

Holy Cow Michael, you weren't kidding! Sometimes the last ten yards are the toughest but you managed to get through it! Nice recovery work on the... procedural lapses. It's not about the mistakes you make, it's what you do afterword that matters. Impressive work. Most impressive. I look forward to seeing this in the Under Glass section. David G.

Nice work so far, I like the color you chose. I'm working on Revell's Superbird and the interior door panels are shallow with less relief than there is on your version. Since they're both different versions of the same car by the same company, I wonder what the reason is for the difference. David G.

Fabulous looking custom paint job! ? Or as we used to say back in the day: "Bitchin' van dude!" Seriously, I first thought you used decals on it.. David G. -
