That chassis is clean and sharp! ? Great looking paintjob! David G.

Nah. I just wasn't paying attention, Jim. And that's no surprise! -D-

Nice detail and wiring on the engine Steve. I think it looks fine, maybe a light blackwash would help bring out what detail is there. David G.

That's a great choice of color Jim. It really captures that Fifties feel. I chose pink and black for the one I built. David G.

Hello Everybody! Do you remember that styrene strip I cut to fill the gap in the top of partition? In looking at photos of actual London Cabs, I noticed that there was almost always a glass panel, a divider at the top of the partition between the driver and passenger areas. And it looks like that gap was meant to accommodate such a panel. So guess what I did? So after taking almost an entire build session to knock together a clear partition to mount on the top of the compartment divider, I discovered that there is one provided in the kit! ? I didn't notice any indication of a clear partition in the directions so I didn't think to check for one on the sprue. ? There is one, I just didn't see it. Ah, well. It will look better than the one I built and I did get some fabrication practice. If this is the worst mistake I make this year, I'll be doing great! Thanks for taking the time to look and thanks for taking even more time to post a comment... if you choose to do so. David G.

That is really cool, thanks for the link. But it's just not for me I'm afraid. Thanks for your kind comment Steve. This gasser thing just won't go away My plan is to build this as a companion to display with my Rolls. I also have a Jag and a Rover in the stash. Once those are built, that will be about it for the "Great Automobiles of the United Kingdom" display. At least those that are offered in kit form. Thanks again, David G.

It's a beautiful color, it has a nice glow to it. By the results, It looks like your painting technique is solid. Everything's smooth and shiny as it should be. David G.

That bending jig is pretty clever. I also like the flashing work for the floor pan. The uh... "flash in the pan" so to speak. (sorry, if you want better humor than that, you'll need to consult a trained professional) David G.

Hello Everybody! Here's the next update for the London Black Cab. With some primer on the body, the initial sanding pass shows some sink marks. And some parting lines with just a little flash here and there. Overall, the casting is in good shape. Some basic detail painting for the basic chassis plate. Thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to post any comments you may have. David G.
