  4. Thank you and yes it is... a Dave thing. David G.
  5. Wow, two Daves in a row! Along with me, that makes three! Thanks for your kind comment. I hope to get some time to finish it soon- it's like 94% done. David G.
  6. Thanks Dave, I took the photos with my phone. David G.
  7. Thanks for the compliment Charlie. I agree about AMT doing a re-release of the stock Matador. I picked up mine at the Desert Scale Classic in Phoenix last year. David G.
  8. Thank you Bruce David G.
  9. Here's one I recently used on my 77 AMC Matador. To simulate the rubber impact strips, I built up three layers of electrical tape and cut it into strips of the proper length. I used a thin line of CA in the groove to help hold the tape in place. I think it worked rather well. Thanks, David G.
  10. Thank you Bruce. David G.
  11. Glad you like the tape trick, thanks Mike. I wish I could've lowered it a bit more too, but any more grinding would have put me through the floor pan. David G.
  12. Thanks Carl, I'm fairly pleased with the way they came out. David G.
  13. Another update. Front bumper mounted- checking the alignment of the hood and grille. Rear bumper in place. Nearly finished! As always, thanks for taking the time to look and feel free to comment. David G.
  14. Go for it! David G.
  15. Wow! A fantastic amount of work fabulously done! I can't wait to see more progress, not to mention the finished project. David G.
  16. Thanks, Monty, for your kind and insightful comments. I had thought about replacing the headlights; I currently have the grille mounted with white glue so it's still an option. After nearly a year of working on this kit I'm anxious to finish it- I'll have to see how my patience holds out. David G.
  17. Time for another update... In attaching the bumper guards, too much handling damaged the "chrome" finish on the bumpers so I stripped and repainted them. I masked the groove where the rubber impact strip will be placed. To simulate the rubber impact strips, I built up three layers of electrical tape and cut it into strips of the proper length. The finished bumpers. As always, thanks for taking the time to look, and always feel free to comment. David G.
  18. I was looking over my copies of MCM and I noticed that the most recent issue is December 2015. Is that the most recent or did I miss January 2016? Thanks David G.
  19. Mind-Blowing! Excellent work. David G.
  20. Wow, A blast from the past! I've been playing Fallout 4 on my PC since it came out on the 10th- not much building lately. I haven't bought an X-Box One yet, still have a 360 though. If you want to find me on Steam, look for Midloth. Send a request with MCM in the message and link up. I use the same Warbird avatar pretty much everywhere, so I should be easy to spot. David G.
  21. That came out really nice Rob David G.
  22. Impressive kit-bashing work. David G.
