  1. The blue is much nicer than the red. Keeper rollin' David G.
  2. Looks like they're all set to shoot the next Viagra TV ad. A couple of nice builds. When you get the camera functions worked out, maybe you could post some engine bay and chassis shots of the car. Regards, David G.
  3. World class work. You could pass this off as an actual late '50s Ford concept model. One question, though. Is there enough space behind the front fender skirts to steer the front wheels? I'll take my answer off the air, thanks. Either way, it sure is a beautiful build. Regards, David G.
  4. Maybe he builds only for himself and isn't interested in impressing others with his skills. David G.
  5. Believe it or not, I've been in this business for more than a decade, and I've never seen a flower car in person. Here in Phoenix, we use cargo vans for the flowers. I'd hate to have to crawl all the way to the front of that cargo area through all the flower muck... with a suit on. Thanks for the pic. If you don't mind, I'd like to lift a copy of it for my research file. Thanks, David G.
  6. Many mortuaries here in Phoenix use those as residential removal and transfer vehicles instead of sending out a hearse. They're a bit nicer than a big cargo van and less conspicuous than a full hearse. David G.
  7. I guess in this case, the 22s would be in feet, not inches.
  8. Wow, that's one pretty Firebird you have. I'm sure you'll do it justice! Regards, David G.
  9. I agree. Though I don't use their forum, I do subscribe to both magazines. There are too few resources available for our hobby for us to to be "fanboys" about any of them. Regards, David G.
  10. It looks like a fire victim. (I mean that in a good way) Excellent work on the weathering! David G.
  11. I remember this one from its "On The Workbench" phase, and I was very impressed by your work on it at the time. Now, it's just completely off the chart! Well worth the time you took on it! Regards, David G.
  12. It looks like a gearshift boot! Great work on the van, what you've done so far is nothing short of amazing!
  13. With the right background, it could pass for the real thing. Maybe a good diorama is in order. Excellent work. Regards, David G.
  14. Very cool! Excellent weathering. Your door hinges, are they made from pins and tubing? Could you share some of the details on how and with what they're made? Thanks, David G.
  15. Coming along nicely! The interior looks great. The paint has a nice factory looking shine to it. The extra details are great too! Regards, David G.
  16. Whistling works too.
  17. Or you could leave the wheels black and put "Fire Chief" decals on it. It looks nice but I'd like to see more pics, though.
  18. Yep, they're the same thing, an emissions device used on gasoline automobile engines in the 80s. Do you intend to model one, or need to replace on on your car?
  19. Wow Jim, we were nowhere near that cold in Phx. Seventeen degrees is cold for anywhere, let alone Florida. I feel for you guys. I don't know the final numbers, but the projected lows for last night were upper 20s to low 30s. Our winter storms come in from the Pacific Ocean through California or the Northwest; we're too far west to get much from Canada. Regards, David G.
  20. Tell us about your plans!
  21. Yup. I remember in 1998 enough snow stuck to the cars that my son and I were able to have a snowball fight in the front yard... at his 10th birthday party. Best. Party. Ever. David G.
  22. Wheels like that on a car that old still don't look right to me. Sort of like putting flotation mud paddle tires on a Mazarati.. . . . . . . ok, I'm done now
  23. Raul, I'm always impressed by your skills. Another excellent build! Regards, David G.
  24. I'm not really a "gear-head" but I do have a modest set up that I noodle around with. It's a mid-80's Jackson-Charvel passive four-string running through a Zoom BFX-708 digital effects pedal and a 200w 1X15 Peavey combo. Between the EQ and other processors on the amp and all the settings on the effects pedal, I can squeeze just about sound out of it that I want. I have knocked pictures off the wall in the next room with it. Regards, David G.
