  2. Just for testing purposes I would try cleaning the nozzle. I wonder if the place you got it from has a bad batch? Have you tried any of their other colors?
  3. Ha suh gaw uh Foo gee me A (the letter) oh she muh Key yo show
  4. Pardon my ignorance but what is MCW and where can I find it along with reference photos?
  5. I'm going to be building a 427 Shelby cobra from revell. I want to do the traditional blue with the white stripes. Is the white a pearl white? What is the closest matching blue? Link for reference: http://media.motortopia.com/files/7400/vehicle/46d72ce50dd86/Copy_of_Our_cobra_at_the_diner.jpg Thanks!
  6. Most of the ones I have used don't have that texture. Have you tried other cans?
  7. Tuh me uh. I love their kits. Some are overpriced, some are not. I like them because they have different subjects other than muscle cars and other American cars.
  8. Sorry for your loss Darin. There is peace in knowing you will be with her again some day, but will always be in your heart. My heart and thoughts for you and your loved ones.
  9. Cranky I hope you understand mine is completed
  10. Peeping Tom is done! chassis: photo shoot: i used a flap or something from an airplane kit somebody else wasn't going to use for the shield for the guy that uses the scope. leopard print seats are ripped a little bit. alien head shifter knob and it actually goes to the transmission! rear bumper pole thing is off center on purpose because "it does the job" i removed the green windshield. spikes in the front.. exhaust is running along the sides and welded in such a way "it does the job" was a fun build!
  11. So when I was trying to put the chassis in, and it was snagging on something. After deconstruction this morning, it appears to be the front edge of the dash. Since the armor is going to be hiding it anyways I decided that it needs to be trimmed off with a Dremel. I will also be dull coating the seat and weathering it a little, even if it won't be completely visible. I also thought this would be the opportune time to make a cb radio as well. That would then complete the interior.
  12. i removed the center console to expose the driveshaft and part of the transmission, then i got to thinking it needed a shifter for it to be "driveable" so i got a little alien head painted enamel rust with some lime green eyes. i will need to finish up the rear suspension tomorrow, then attach the frame to the body. after some test fitting it appears to be snagging on something, but i'll figure out what it is and take care of it. the end result of the shifter is the shift lever goes under the hold where the center console but the alien head goes through it while still being able to see the other stuff under the car.
  13. some more progress. the seats got the catty decals, the dash is done and interior installed (decided to keep it simple) and hooked up a wiring harness from the antennas to the dash. home made trunk popper rear suspension almost done more pics in a sec
  14. Valid points. I opened up the hatch on it for this very reason of the mesh. Gonna have to check the metallizer paint.
  15. Thanks Neal! I am still torn on interior color and theme. The gray you saw will be rust once it's out of the bag. I have done some more stuff with interior. I made the cb radio knobs in the dash, and I ran a thick hose into the passenger side of the dash which will route to the antennas directly under the roof. Basically it will be like a wiring harness for the antennas. I am trying to think of other ideas for this that I can put in the interior so it isn't just blank and boring. So I am open to ideas. Maybe I can make one of the boxed areas to be something like a tool box or something, or maybe even a water thing for the people to have fresh water to drink.. Running out of ideas. As long as it ties to the theme it's fair game, so pleaseeeee give me some input! I do have some ideas for the exhaust, and from what I am thinking it may actually be cool. Wheels are going to be my other challenge, in terms of color. I don't want chrome and don't want rust. Flat black? I dunno. Help?
  16. for the interior i had removed the back seat and made an armor panel that will have some stuff put in it. i padded the area where the people go in and out of the car, and for the person in charge of the scope. for the dash i removed the gauge cluster and replaced it with a couple wires with plugs on the end to mimic a wiring harness. i also drilled out and put a "screwdriver" in the ignition and did a new wire for the turn signal switch. I have drilled out some holes that will have some toggle switches in them, and will be making a CB radio as well. since the pics i have removed the entire center console, so when it's done you will be able to see the drive shaft from the inside of the car. i wlil be figuring out how to attach the shift lever to the transmission. other stuff going on: i have a decent amount of stuff sitting in the rust baggy, and i coated the interior with the iron stuff to prep it for the rust solution. i plan on pitting the interior floor pan and putting in little holes as if it's rusting through a little bit. knowing the real car had plastic bumpers i will be "denting" them and painting them a flat black and might do some other weathering and damage things, maybe figure out oxidation techniques or something.
  17. here's the engine glued in, still need to do some more rusting and start the oil process. the chassis scope glued on more pics in a sec
  18. Cool work guys! I will get pics soon but I got the engine attached to the chassis. I am going to do oil washes and more rust n stuff. I also did some interior work that will be explained at time of pics.
  19. Chev hell turned out cool! I am working on Peeping Tom at the moment. I have started working on the dash and came up with some ideas. The gauge cluster is removed and in place of that I put wire and a small bit of tube on the end so once painted they will replicate the wiring harness that would have plugged into the gauge cluster. I plan on shaving the other bits off of the dash and make toggle switches for the driver. I will also be fabricating a custom interior. I will let it be a surprise on the interior plans!
  20. took the car out of the rust juice baggy. i also installed a clear green windshield. the scope has been given the rust treatment as well as the chassis and bits of the motor, all sitting in the rusting juice. here's the scope i made. the rubber cement will be there if i decide to give a top color paint. it'll be similar to the salting technique, unless i opt to do a salting technique. i still have some catty decals i plan on using on the car. so paint or decals? i don't know yet but we'll see where it goes. i also have some more rusty materials. rust paint from testors some mig pigments rust tamiya rust weathering kit i also got some black oil paint that i'll thin down for an oily wash. here's an overall shot of all the stuff i plan on using to weather and texture the body a bit more.
  21. I will decide on color after the rusting process is done. Decided I will keep it zip locked overnight again.
  22. here's an update on the rust. i moved it to the zip lock bag so i can seal the rusting stuff in there. i figure i'll let it soak another 4 hours or so and remove it and continue from there. once the rust is out, i will be doing some more dry brushing with some other rust. once the rust stuff is done, then i'll try the salting technique and get some more texture in it and paint. Any thoughts on color?
  23. Do you heat your cans of paint or decant and airbrush?
  24. Do you happen to know how many other countries benefit from the super bowl? How many countries get time off of work to watch it plus get the next day off as a holiday to recover from the drunken madness that might have happened from the game? Do you know what happens with the clothes of the losing team? Did you know that both teams have super bowl championship clothes and ever wondered who gets the clothes from the losing team? Third world countries do. That's right. What does Australia do for the world? It kills people! Sharks kill people. Poisonous spiders. Hairy women.
