  1. More: That's a 262 V8 Is it just me, or do A LOT of parts fall off the trees on these old MPC kits? "Rubber" And a very nicely preserved set of patriotic decals! I highly encourage feedback, memories, random stories about parking lots, pictures of Monzas, etc My plan is a stock, boring, Sunday driver...
  2. ...with inspiration from Casey's Chevette flashback... MPC's annual Monza kit from 1976 Three building options! Road racer, street rod, or stock! "Wild" options: Decent looking body - I am no expert... Typical annual chassis and tub: Sweet sidepipes:
  3. Heehee. Thanks!
  4. Interesting - looks cool - any information?
  5. Very nice. I love seeing a transition back to a basic driver! Great work.
  6. Jorge Lius Borges said something to the fact "we buy more books thinking we are buying the time to read them". Maybe the same psychology...? I am not innocent either, and I question it enough to periodically purge my shelves.
  7. Most of us just buy kits and look at what others build anyway
  8. Thanks for that link Steve. I looked at pic 212 - one 'Cuda in the background looks good. This will be a great kit for Revell, no doubt.
  9. Which colors? I use the chrome and aluminum finishes regularly and like them a lot. The chrome takes some practice, though, as it requires a very smooth black base. They are quite durable, especially compared to MM metalizers.
  10. Very cool color choice and nice twist with the FE. Nice model!
  11. Very cool. I heart these little cars. I will like seeing it go together.
  12. I think the angle of the photos and the focal length may be playing a part in the look of the fender problem - maybe. The whole front of the car looks oversized - like a mild fisheye distortion. Hard to say without a good side profile shot.
  13. Nice work! I like the orange color choice and the raised white letter tires. Nice combo.
  14. Intake is scratchbuilt. Transmission in scratchbuilt.
  15. This started life as a curbside. I scratchbuilt the engine bay. Engine was a mix of kit bash/modify and scratchbuilt.
  16. Good points!
  17. Looking good Tom. Great subject and great building so far!
  18. That is looking great. I will add to the "great work on the interior" crowd - that looks like a lot of work and it turned out nice.
  19. I'd be down for that!
  20. That has to be a first release kit in a new box. I would like to have it! I have a first box I bought in a lot sale but it had a 59 Edsel inside
  21. I have an iPhone and photobucket app. Just take picture, upload to PB, copy and past IMG link. Easy. Start here: Then you can take a picture or upload one from your phone: Then click on the IMG link and paste in your post: I just did all this on my phone.
  22. I am still working on my 2012 entry (yes, I know the race already started!) and I prefer putting some limits on the build, otherwise, what's the difference between the CBR and any other build we do? I vote for the 70s theme.
  23. Very nice. I like the gold wheels!
