NICE...! I have some that were my dads that will remain the way they are...the others have to have repairs done on them.
-
Rob....I wander how hard it would be to make a Aspen from the Volaries or RR kit..?
-
Andy...must be something very rare to not show up...there has to be a photo of one somewhere out there just have to figure out where..? I know the Aspen R/T was a very rare car..wish we could have kept it...thinking it was a 360ci 4 speed car and looked close to the RR version of the kits. I might have to see if they made a promo of the Aspen to make a R/T from..? I do remember seeing a Pinto with the stripes on it once. I did find the Aspen R/Ts photos on the net.

Andy...have you check on google images..? You might find it there....while your at it look up a Aspen R/T...that is the one I want to make we use to own one that was Petty blue or sort of.

You both did a very nice job on her...looks great..! Nice to see someone get and save them instead of what usually happens to them...getting tossed in the trash....

Kit Engine Identification
disabled modeler replied to afx's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Yep this is pretty much the one it is...the power steering pump has the mounting bracket behind or towards the middle of the engine in the instruction photos...its not real easy to see but its there. I love the Johan stuff glue or snaps there all good to me and they offered kits of cars you couldn't get from anyone else. -

Thanks for the information Stephen...its appreciated. Only bad thing is my budget or pretty much the lack of one I just cant compete with those guys out there....I also need parts to a 64 Cutlass mines a old promo of a convertible needs..glass and glass frame unit and think the steering wheel to restore it. I dont mind modifying parts to make them right or close enough to work ok. After a breakin here and then a tornado many of the ones I have need work and parts and the list is huge. Thanks.

What kits did you get for Christmas?
disabled modeler replied to 95neon's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No plastic here this year...there is always next year...LOL... -
Nice...I can understand that...there are some people that have over 2,000 kits sitting on a shelf or in boxes. Me counting my dads old stuff have probably close to 150 and some of those are build ups or rebuilders...most coming from my dads old collection. I do believe there is a time where one has to use discretion on what they will buy if any in the future once you have so many sitting and what the budget allows...me I only get things that are ether cheap or something I really want and have been waiting to find and when I can afford it. I respect one having priorities.

You must have a nice stash then. Snake...I do not believe the early Corvair molds were ever modified to my memory. AMT made 2 versions of the Factory stock 66 Buick Skylark...one a curbside and the other a full detail kit..I have both but they both need parts to restore them...Id buy ether version if they were re-issued most likely many of them. A lot of builders do not like the curbsides or snaps or promo like kits...to me they have loads of potential and worth the time...I love them myself always looking for more. Maybe they could re-issue the old Craftsman kits as a quick build or snapfast plus like line..??? Id buy them. I believe the mold AMT re-tooled of the 66 Buick Skylark was the full detail glue kit one...maybe they have the other one still..? Their 70 Buick Wildcat was a hit...I should have gotten more of them.
