  1. Yes they are...my dad owned one love to build a replica of it...and others.
  2. I had the original kit as a kid...loved building those crazy things was a lot of fun.
  3. Green with envy Tom...the 67-70 Bonnevilles are my favorites...specially the HTs...good score.
  4. Sorry to hear that...my condolences to the family and friends.
  5. Nice...for me though I like them to be plastic kits or promos...been wanting one of a Travelall for years.
  6. Good luck buddy...keep in touch as you can.
  7. I don't have all that much now compared to what I use to have but from first hand experience and dismay insurance is a very good idea. When our house got broken into a few years ago...priceless memories and promos/kits/build ups of mine and my dads were taken and damaged along with the rest of the house. Money was tight and I did not have insurance to cover what I had regretfully.
  8. I have one of these tops by Dave...should have done a deal for 2 of them there very nice.
  9. Me too Al....bandits got into my house took most and damaged what they could find.
  10. LOL... I like it...
  11. I have the ALF pumper kit with extra fire truck parts in the box with it if interested PM me.
  12. I need a ton of parts but nothing in there are them...definitely a 58 Monogram T-bird hood you have there though.
  13. Welcome Gary... I build very late 50s through mid 70s body style stuff...2door,4door,wagons,vans,campers,pickups,big trucks,trailers,farm/construction equipment,speed/pleasure boats, dioramas and I restore promos. Good to have you with us...
  14. Yep not much one can do once it happens but try to replace stolen or damaged goods if possible. The police here is terrible unless you are one of the wealthy or related to someone important with anything unless your at fault. Dont get me wrong I have known a lot of very good cops and they do their best on everything they do for everyone. In this situation its just up to me to do what I can which is not much other than to try to replace or repair what i can.
  15. You have a very good point Rick and I appreciate it....I did that not many people knew what all was in the house then or since...came up with no suspects though. I really believe it was just the time of year and a thief thinking there might be money or new valuables due to it being only a couple of days before Christmas like Maybe jewelry, money, gifts that could be taken back to a store for cash, etc. which we did not have so they just grabbed anything that was a easy target and loaded up. Nothing can be done about it now so my only option is to try to find replacements for the ones still here and the ones that meant a lot to me. The ones that did show up on e-bay were in northern IL. near Chicago area but south west of it. Anyway maybe in the future I can replace some of them...?
  16. A nice crew cab pickup with all the options A late 20s to early 30s Coupe hot rod A nice house in the country
  17. LOL...if Johan kits are hip to be square I am in...by the way...anyone with too many of them can always send them to me...
  18. I love the old school blown engines they used back in the day...should be offered in a big truck kit or two.
  19. The 1958 392ci Hemi I once owned had staggered heads and the distributor was in the back of the intake valley pan...its just less obvious due to the look and shape of the valve covers on the early ones far as I could tell. Neat bit of information is the valve cover from one of these old Hemi engines will cover a small block Chevy intake manifold...LOL...
  20. Thanks Lee and Ray....very kind of you all. I had planed to build a few replicas of some of his cars/trucks to give to him soon as i could find them...may still do it if possible???
