Nice clean build.... I use to work for a Chrysler dealer that sold Datsuns too...remember these trucks well they were remarkably tough for what they were.

Bill....Johan did the Mopar promos into the mid/late 60s then MPC took over for awhile.....I love promos and restoring/collecting them.

I think your right....local antique shop has a 49 or 50 4 door sedan promo in red.

I know I look forward to these kits myself....have many fond memories of building them and the vans they came with many years ago. Just a shame they cant bring back the 71-76 body style vans for us too but Ill take what I can get from them like the bike kits.

Yep they had boxes of parts,etc. you could dig through and make a pile and he would price it for you(cheap)....I always found something I could use there. He also had buildups,parts cars,kits missing parts,and vintage kits. A 1 to 1 project....might be rough to do get plenty of friends to help out. I know its sounds wrong but I purposely push myself to do anything I can I am too scared if I dont Ill get much worse than I am...got to keep slugging best one can.

Id be happy to buy from a local shop but all we have is a hobby lobby now....would be happy if they could carry more brand of kits than they do. I do miss the family run local shops many have out of production or vintage kits,buildups,parts boxes one can dig through and buy what they need. Gergo... I understand your thoughts on the pains well...its no fun but I force myself to many times.

Jan.... I like it for many reasons one being its different. I have the 78? 4 square headlight promo as well as the old buildup from my childhood days that needs restored...always did like the shape of these cars with the round headlights. Very cool to be able to see the old box art again..thanks.

I have this kit wanting to back date it to the old grille and nose.

I wish we could have more 60s 4 doors and wagons available for us all again. I have several listed all need parts and repairs. The PMC stuff did warp horribly.

Nice work on the distributors....they look real. If you can find a junk computer printer the drive belt inside them makes a great blower belt.

Joe... Looks very nice to me....its not the best kit to try to make look right specially the front clip area but yours looks very nice.
