  1. Had a bit of a building hiatus till about when the forum bit the dust but in that time amassed a few more kits, decals and some beautiful photo etch form Scott aka Futurattraction. Great service from him as well.. Anyhows back to the subject at hand, got side tracked a bit when I re commenced building as I needed to build a trailer for our club theme night so I decided to build a support entourage for the camaro. Ram is a snap-tite that I got with no wheels or tires, tool box is Fugimi garage. Trailer is scratch built and there are a few things I will change when I make another, got some in scale floor covering organized so ignore that if you would please . Also started the paint/ decal work on the car as I need the car to look finished to finish the sides of the trailer.
  2. Nice work Dale, that body looks great so far
  3. cheers guys. Dave, waters a bit cold at the moment, wait till summer comes back
  4. the pro sportsman kits are a little short in the wheelbase but its pretty easy to stretch the front end on them with a little bit of styrene rod.
  5. looking good so far
  6. Thanks guys, bit surprised to see this one pop up again
  7. Awesome work and attention to details Chris, a real inspiration !
  8. Stellar work Anne !
  9. Nice job Eric !
  10. Nice job, its looking great
  11. You're going to be a force to be reckoned with on the contest tables soon Niko, great strides have been made in your ability's. Great work bro.
  12. Thanks guys . I have to make up the rear coil overs next as they will determine where the diff sits so I can trim the four link bars to length. Might be a funny way of doing it, but that way I can make sure the wheels will sit evenly in the wells and set the height . What I think I may have mucked up on, is to me the diff head looks to be sitting to high in the brackets. Easy enough to make some more though, though I'll be making an order to Scott (futurattraction) and dirtmodeller soon for lots of bits and pieces.
  13. Thanks guys, been suffering in more ways than one lately, a dose of the cant be bothereds and I cut up some firewood and took my right arm out of action for the last four days ( just chronic pain in shoulder and arm due to inflammation etc). Anyways a little progress four link arms (still to be trimmed to length), with the same hiem joint type setup the front struts have and the wheelie bars
  14. Sorry, Im so late to the party, its a dropped axle under the not capped chaps leg . kudos to the original photographer, these are shared as reference pics only
  15. Thanks guys, here's some paint on the nearly rolling frame
  16. great job, your finish is great pics are nice and clear and the icing on top is the pics with your other builds, two thumbs up
  17. thanks guys much appreciated. Micheal, base color will be black, thats all you'll know till its done Ted, wow thats a compliment and a half to me, thanks. The headers are solder. Heres the bits used to make the lower a arms and front struts assembled and in place you might also have noticed the bars that will hold the front clip in place should I be brave enough to cut it off Pretty much all I do is scratch built, I'd love to support some of our aftermarket guys, but at the moment I just cant afford to. The little rings you see in the strut and a arm pics are crimp beads, that just happen to fit (when pressed ) into the tube I have they also fit nicely on the rod I'm using for pins and the strut its self. Really lucked out there.
  18. Thanks Dave, Zoomies ! and engine mockup, looks about right I think . Also scratched some seatbelts and hardware, they look a lot better in person than in the pics, I think
  19. Great job again mate !
  20. Thanks guys, Carl its really not that hard, its just a learning curve. Made up the fire bottle, air bottle for the shifters , parachute levers and brackets and fitted sleeve for steering column. Also added the last couple bars at the back and the driveshaft tunnel although it'll cover more gearbox than the driveshaft as it'll be pretty short.. Finished bottles are 7 pieces each plus the lines. bit blurrier than I thought sorry
  21. Fantastic job , as usual Carl. I'd sure hate to come up against you in a box stock build off, your finishes always look great
  22. very cool, the weathering is great !
  23. not the best kit around, but you've done a great job on it
