  1. I think this is from the Waverider release, but maybe it is from the later 3-n-1 release. I have several of the earlier issues of the Monogram Chevrolet S10, all stored in one box. I don't recall exactly how or where I acquired them. My original goal was to build an extended cab to replicate my Dad's 1988 4.3. Hopefully, I can do that one day. Anyway, rooting through the box, I've started putting one together. Here is the kit so far - body painted two-tone red/silver - it'll be covered in a gloss clear closer to final assembly - hopefully Tamiya Dull Red will shine up with some gloss. Interior is done - box stock, with the exception of some flocking added to represent carpet. Show here just kind of tacked together. Tamiya paints and washes throughout. Please excuse my high quality phone pictures ...
  2. I suppose the Syclone was really just an all wheel drive S-10.
  3. That color really suits the truck. Nice build!
  4. Wow! This looks like fun!
  5. That turned out really sharp!
  6. Nice! One of my favorite schemes! What paint did you use?
  7. Anybody know who made this early S10 grille (grill)?
  8. I think I may have this piece. Years ago, I picked up an early S-10 grill off of eBay - maybe part of some package deal. It has some pinholes, but I think it's passable. Lemme see if I can dig it up.
  9. The is the most beautiful build I've seen lately. Just perfect.
  10. I see them all over Durham and Raleigh ... except you said not beat to death, so there's that .... I'd love to find one in good shape, as well.
  11. Cool. Be nice to see the possibilities. You still see a lot of these on the roads around here.
  12. Woot! Maybe some other S-10 parts? The aforementioned Baja, proper skits for the Cameo edition, a proper extended cab ...
  13. Anybody picked up the reissued S-10 yet?
  14. That looks great! Still, I'm glad the Beretta and the Probe didn't completely replace the Camaro and the Mustang.
  15. Thank you all. What initially attracted me to this kit was the staggered seating arrangement. I have another in my stash, and I'd really like to build it as more of a hot rod. But, finding appropriate wheels and tires stumps be at the moment. Well, that and appropriate engine bits, like a blower, or something.
  16. Wow! Beautiful build!
  17. Nice work on a challenging kit. Looks great!
  18. Testor's enamel for the interior and spare tire/wheel covers. The body and frame were painted using Tamiya Lacquer (TS15) Blue and (TS14); with the bits of the frame being picked out various colors. Alclad II for the radiator and headlights, as well as for the chrome beltline. (In reality, I'm not sure this should be represented as a separate piece - and it's molded to the body in the kit.) I cheated on the hood side vents. The kit includes eight small, chrome-plated, rectangles for these pieces. I lost one, and then another. In frustration, I cut a piece of card stock, applied Bare Metal Foil, and glued this to the inside of the hood. I felt it turned out ok. I see I forgot to add the top. I'll have to fix that ...
  19. Me, too! Would loved to have seen how you meshed the two cabs together. It really looks great.
  20. Man, oh man! This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while!
  21. Nice work! Do you have any in-progress shots?
  22. Oh yeah! That would be awesome.
  23. That's cool. Do you know if there are films that don't require heat to set?
  24. That is a bummer. I like the odd-ball skirts, etc.
  25. Does anyone know if this boxing will include any custom / option parts?
