  1. Really like the color choice!
  2. Thank you for that tip! Regarding where you say the entire roof needs an extra .020 added - you mean in the front where the cutline will be?
  3. Maybe this belongs in another thread - but how does one correct the windshield of the AMT kit? I've seen where it's been done, but can someone point out a tutorial? The only one I found has watermarked images ... thanks!
  4. Yeah ... this seems like an era of truck that would be better served by the kit manufacturers.
  5. Styleside - I should have looked that up Does anyone do any resin for the Revell / Monogram '80 that's currently out? thanks!
  6. That's awesome. Needs a step bumper to be perfect
  7. Thank you for the comments regarding how to build a '74 Ford pickup. I"ve got the AMT kit and I've ordered some parts from MAD (Kris Morgan) and am looking forward to using those parts. Now .... what if I wanted to also build a 1984 Ford Pickup? Fleetside (is that the right term? Non-step side; whatever Ford called those). Where would be the best place to start? thanks!
  8. Just ran across some awesome detail shots of a Chevy Luv that we may all find useful. This is NOT my auction; I just happened upon this browsing. https://vmp.ebay.com/ebay/viewAllPhotos.aspx?smid=30538368
  9. Yeah, after reading about the old AMT kit, and grabbing a copy of the '78 reissue of the Firestones truck - I agree. That said, I'm collecting parts to try to replicate Dad's '74 using this the AMT as a starting point. (I fully expect Moebius to announce a 1974 Ford pickup as a result! LOL)
  10. Just wow! The build and the photography are exceptional! You work for Tamiya?
  11. Beautiful work! I'd love to find one of these kits - but alas, they're always $$$
  12. Awesome! Thank you all! More questions - what would be a good source for the larger (aftermarket?) mirrors that were common then? Western mirrors, perhaps?
  13. Along these lines, is a 1974 Ford pickup available? Or could one easily get to the '74 using one of the existing Moebius kits?
  14. Does anyone know of parts to convert the 1972 (I guess this would be closest) Moebius Ford pickup to a 1974 model? The best I can tell, the grill would be different. Actually, maybe the side trim is significantly different, too? I ask because my Dad had a '74 Ford Pickup ("The best running Ford I ever owned" -this from a GM Man). I'd like try to replicate it - although I don't know of any pictures of the actual truck. I'd be going off memory... thanks!
  15. Nice C4! Really like the flamed hood.
  16. Nice work so far! We need to see a picture of the car it's modeled after, too
  17. Very cool! I personally think this should be reissued. When I was a kid in Lafayette Scale Modelers in NC, we had a common kit theme once - this was the kit. I love seeing these built up - I guess partly because of that.
  18. This is the coolest thing I've seen lately! Excellent and creative! Nice work.
  19. Oh, yeah! I'll be watching - I picked up two of these and am looking forward to seeing what you do.
