  1. Wow! This looks like fun!
  2. That turned out really sharp!
  3. Nice! One of my favorite schemes! What paint did you use?
  4. Anybody know who made this early S10 grille (grill)?
  5. I think I may have this piece. Years ago, I picked up an early S-10 grill off of eBay - maybe part of some package deal. It has some pinholes, but I think it's passable. Lemme see if I can dig it up.
  6. The is the most beautiful build I've seen lately. Just perfect.
  7. I see them all over Durham and Raleigh ... except you said not beat to death, so there's that .... I'd love to find one in good shape, as well.
  8. Cool. Be nice to see the possibilities. You still see a lot of these on the roads around here.
  9. Woot! Maybe some other S-10 parts? The aforementioned Baja, proper skits for the Cameo edition, a proper extended cab ...
  10. Anybody picked up the reissued S-10 yet?
  11. That looks great! Still, I'm glad the Beretta and the Probe didn't completely replace the Camaro and the Mustang.
  12. Thank you all. What initially attracted me to this kit was the staggered seating arrangement. I have another in my stash, and I'd really like to build it as more of a hot rod. But, finding appropriate wheels and tires stumps be at the moment. Well, that and appropriate engine bits, like a blower, or something.
  13. Wow! Beautiful build!
  14. Nice work on a challenging kit. Looks great!
  15. Testor's enamel for the interior and spare tire/wheel covers. The body and frame were painted using Tamiya Lacquer (TS15) Blue and (TS14); with the bits of the frame being picked out various colors. Alclad II for the radiator and headlights, as well as for the chrome beltline. (In reality, I'm not sure this should be represented as a separate piece - and it's molded to the body in the kit.) I cheated on the hood side vents. The kit includes eight small, chrome-plated, rectangles for these pieces. I lost one, and then another. In frustration, I cut a piece of card stock, applied Bare Metal Foil, and glued this to the inside of the hood. I felt it turned out ok. I see I forgot to add the top. I'll have to fix that ...
  16. Me, too! Would loved to have seen how you meshed the two cabs together. It really looks great.
  17. Man, oh man! This is the coolest thing I've seen in a while!
  18. Nice work! Do you have any in-progress shots?
  19. Oh yeah! That would be awesome.
  20. That's cool. Do you know if there are films that don't require heat to set?
  21. That is a bummer. I like the odd-ball skirts, etc.
  22. Does anyone know if this boxing will include any custom / option parts?
  23. I've seen a few builds done with the Psycho Swirl / Swirl-a-delic techniques. (Awesome names, by the way!) I do like that it's kind of "fluid" and you get a different effect every time. Although, I wonder about how "smooth" the paint really is without miles of clear coat. That said, this film stuff looks like you could control the pattern. But as noted by Ray, it seems that finding something scale appropriate is an issue. Here's another sample, I found on Amazon. I wonder what the finish is like - is it smooth? I figured surely someone has tried by now.
  24. Something like this, yep. If there were a way to do your own film.....
  25. This is what I was referring to - the film. I think it's sometimes called "water transfer printing", but I'm not sure. Seems, if you could either find or create your own scale-appropriate patterns, that there might be a way to use this in our hobby. Here's a full-scale version:
