  1. Most epic junkyard!
  2. That is awesome! I'd drive this land yacht every day!
  3. Whoa! This year was pretty productive! Last winter, I joined a local model club (Misfit Modelers, Cary, NC) and that has helped me tremendously in terms of actually completing stuff. Here we go: Revell's 1968 VW Bug: Monogram Packard Boattail Speedster: Monogram Sunny King Ford Thunderbird: Italeri Bell Huey: Monogram Dale Earnhardt "Japan" Monte Carlo: Revell 1937 Ford Pickup, with decals that I botched Revell Snap '57 Chevy, using decals from the OLD Revell Full detail kit of the same: Revell Chevy LUV: Aoshima Toyota Supra: Monogram Miami Vice Testarossa:: Revell Chevy S-10 (Shown here with the Monogram GMC Slycone, based on the same tool): And with that - Merry Christmas!
  4. One more minor update before some final tweaks and I can call it done. Needs tail lights, decals ...
  5. Thank you! Black trim around the side windows and the bumpers is good ol' Tamiya semi-gloss black. I masked using Tamiya tape for the tight areas, and Frog tape (the green stuff) for the larger areas.
  6. I'm glad this popped up - beautiful build!
  7. I think I got the bow worked out. With this particular kit (again, an older issue), the rear wall of the cab was cracked. The bed sides have little channels that line up with slots between the back of the cab and the rear wall of the cab. With the rear wall significantly cracked, this was pulling the bed downward. I glued the damaged rear wall back together, shimmed with some strip plastic, and here's where we are. Still needs wheels attached, some details remain.
  8. I think it looks great - the flipped bumper and lowered stance really set it off. Great minds, haha
  9. Ah! I was thinking of the old Italeri 740, I think. It was a 4-door. Sure looks cool
  10. Cool! Is this the old Italeri kit? Or the (nicer, pricier) Tamiya kit? Or something else?
  11. Wow! I've really enjoyed seeing your WIP's - having all of the builds together in one thread really shows your creativity.
  12. Man, I love seeing this stuff!
  13. Probably been discussed a few times ... I currently have a couple of Badger 150 dual action airbrushes that I've used for years. Actually, I think they are the only brand/type of airbrushes I've used over the last 35 or more years. Anyway ... was considering giving myself a little Christmas present. What are your recommendations for airbrushes? Only caveats are dual-action and not crazy expensive.
  14. That's some serious surgery there! I'll be watching to see where you go - looks cool!
  15. I should have thought of that! But .... I'd already cleaned up these Rally Wheels. They could be from a Corvette kit, I'm not sure. They're from an AMT kit, but I don't know which one - they were a PIF from the Spotlight Hobbies message board some time back. Quick mockup. Pardon the clutter ...
  16. Decisions .... I'm leaning with the Ralley Wheels, as opposed to the AMT S10/Sonoma wheels ...
  17. Wow! This is a super cool build. And all of those 30's vehicles with fender skirts - I want to build them all! (But your skill is a whole 'nother level above mine).
  18. Coat of gloss, polished. Looks better. I think. In the 2nd and 3rd pics, you can see where I dropped the cab. It bounced behind my bench and now I have a little dust/scratches to deal with. sigh....
  19. That looks really sharp! Very nice work!
  20. This is very true. Can the included 4x4 parts - transfer case, etc. be used to make a 4x4 S10, as opposed to an All-Wheel-Drive (fictional) S-10?
  21. Son of a Gun - that looks nice!
