  1. That is bizarre. Gnarly!
  2. So cool. Did the real truck ever exist with that cut into the bed sides? I'm guessing not, but who knows...
  3. Man, this is awesome work!
  4. I think a proper S-10 transkit for an extended cab (first generation) would be a great seller.
  5. Very nice build. I really like the barn, too! Details on that?
  6. Looking at it here, it looks a little dirty. So, I'm going for a daily driven, but aging car. Yeah, that's my story.
  7. Lil' update. Got (most?) of the black trim completed. Still need to do the lights and emblems.
  8. Nice attention to detail. I really like where this is going.
  9. Picked this little gem up from eBay some years ago. Vintage Tamiya kit, very representative of the era, with motorization option. Interestingly, this kit does include a decent semblance of an engine, if you cut the hood out. Not sure I'll go that route at this point. So far: Tamiya Lacquer, Tamiya panel line accent (possibly overdone!) and Alclad II chrome ...
  10. Really nice work! I always thought these looked better as extended cabs. I wish someone would make a decent extended cab transkit for the Revell S-10!
  11. That's the coolest thing I've seen in a while!
  12. Epic project! "Plymouth" is stamped/etched into the frame? Wow!
  13. I found the wheels on eBay, sold by "prostreethobbies". 3D printed. Here is a link to them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/324685093033
  14. Really excellent work!
  15. Wow! What an awesome build.
  16. I've completed three of these kits lately. Two were built for our club's annual same kit build off (Misfit Modelers, Raleigh/Durham/Cary, NC).The Roth tribute car has been seen before - I used the Revell snap kit, and the decals from the Revell Roth '57 Chevy from a few years ago. The decals were nearly a perfect fit, requiring a little touch up around the front fenders. The white and dark blue cars were built for the club's build off. For the dark blue car, I built it straight from the box, using Tamiya Dark Blue over Tamiya Flat Black. This was then sealed with Testors Dull Cote (the original formula). Bright work was done using Alclad II Magnesium. Wheels are Testors Magnesium lacquer spray. The white car is finished with Tamiya Pearl White over Tamiya White Primer. Wheels are 3D printed wheels that I found on eBay. Bright work is a combination of Tamiya Gloss Black lacquer and Alclad II Magnesium. Alclad was also used on the wheels. The 3D printed wheels were much wider than the kit wheels, so I had to hog out the rear a bit. Hood "bullets" and door handles were shaved in an attempt to add some custom touches. In retrospect, I should have done some more, but it's finished. Anywho .. a fun build of a basic kit. Thanks for looking!
  17. Man, I love what you've done here. More dust and dirt wouldn't hurt anything. Really excellent work with a not-so-excellent kit!
  18. Wow! Any updates on this? Amazing work!
  19. They don't make them like they used to, do they?
  20. Wow! Really well done.
  21. Man, that is awesome!
  22. Thank you both. I'll post updated photos when I get a chance.
  23. I think for both the Monte Carlo and the Thunderbird, I used Tamiya TS-14 Blue
