  1. agreed. I need to dig my mess out again and try to make something of it ...
  2. I like what you're doing with this!
  3. I hadn't even considered the steering wheel ... ?
  4. Here are a few in progress shots of my build, along with some awesome real GM S Body pickups people shared - thanks for that! Here is my take on the recently issued Revell S-10 Street Sleeper. I've picked up a few of the kits, with the intention of building my Dad's extended cab that he had while I was in college. I'm hoping to build up to slicing two of these to make Dad's extended cab. I loved that truck. I realize the current issue is really the Revell/Monogram Syclone running gear, the S-10 4x4 wheels, and the S-10 trim. But to the casual observer, I think it looks like an S-10. Here's my most first build of the reissue: The hood actually does close properly I need to add the license plate, and paint the bowtie (the kit does include a red bowtie for the grill) And of course ... as I put the passenger side wiper on it, I dropped the wiper - with a little bit of glue on it and BAM! Right on the hood! *sigh*
  5. Does anyone know if these wheels and tires were available in any other kit? I had this kit - and sold it (what was I thinking!?!?) Some time later, I realized that I really, really would like to have the wheels and tires for another project. I'm hoping someone on here has these wheels and tires and thinks they're too ugly and would like to unload/swap them. Apologies for using someone else' picture. Live and Learn? Maybe. Sigh ....
  6. Wow! That is craftsmanship! Thank you for sharing.
  7. Farm Truck might be more famous, but between Farm Truck and my Grandfather's farm truck - I'd take my Grandfather's every time. I really love all of the detail you've captured.
  8. That boxart! There are no words. Excellent work on the build
  9. That is a cool project! At first, when I saw "Farmtruck" - I thought of this
  10. What an awesome build. I recently bought a 2004 Silverado; really love what you're doing here!
  11. I sold one of those kits a few months back - kind of wish I'd kept it!
  12. Cool! Love the 80's vibe of those decals ...
  13. Joseph is a great guy to work with. I hope his recovery goes well.
  14. I agree, the 17" would be too much. I have some of Joseph's other stuff and it is really, really good.
  15. That is a thought, too. If Casey makes these, maybe he'll start providing them in his store.
  16. Wow! That's pretty awesome. I'm not sure what tire I'd use, I need to dig around a bit. I think that 16" wheel would be perfect.
  17. Joseph is a great guy to work with. I've certainly been impressed with his stuff.
  18. I like your idea. Couldn't you just paint all of the non-body parts to accomplish what you're trying to do?
  19. I was gifted this kit for Christmas and recently came across this thread. Really great work in tackling the side trim - have you made any additional progress?
  20. Decided to try to fix the paint. But ultimately ended up opening another kit and robbing the body from it (I'll use the one I'm stripping later). Now on to some light polishing, trim paint, and decals. I hope.
  21. Nice score. A friend of mine took the very tip of a finger off in high school with one of these. ?
  22. Thank you all for the help in identifying a wheel that might be passable. I've put a post in the Wanted section for the wheels from the Blazer kit. Hopefully, someone will have a set because they used the other wheels in their kit or something....
