A Studebaker or Hudson pickup would be very popular Maybe that's next? One can only hope.

The red frame and seats! Very cool. -
I wish Mr. Olson well, also. Sounds like he's been through a real rough patch of late. But, you do think he'd update his website and Facebook page to indicate that either he's not taking orders or is behind or whatever. Or give the information to someone he trusts and have them do it for him. I gave up on my order and asked PayPal to start the refund process. We'll see how that goes. As to Fireball Modelworks - incredible pieces and great pricing! 5 Stars!

I am enjoying watching your progress. I've been thinking about buying this kit.

I'd like to build the 1957 Chevy that Fireball Roberts ran at the 1958 Darlington race. It appears to have had 6 lug wheels, carburetor and not fuel injection, and presumably a basic rollcage - which I guess was black. I have the Fred Cady decals and that's about it. The goal: Available kits for me to pick from: Was considering using the Revell Black Widow kit for chassis and interior, although the FI engine would be incorrect. Thoughts?

I, too, got my replacement parts. I'm happy with them. Looking forward to building this one.

This is an incredible build. We were fortunate enough to have Sam bring this to our local club last earlier this month.

These are amazing. Glad you brought your Ecto to the club meeting earlier

Nice work! One of my favorite cars from the movie, actually.

The markings inside the van are a nice touch! -
That is an excellent way to fix the weird side trim on the AMT kit! Very cool build.

Got a little bit of polishing done for the roof and hood. Still need to polish the sides. Polishing always (well, nearly always) makes me nervous - as I've burned through the paint before. But so far, so good. Not as incredible as many of the builds I see on this board. There is still some orange peel here and there, but I'm hesitant to go too far. Typically (for me) messy workbench: I plan to mask and paint the rubber trim once I finish polishing. Cowl panel should be black and not red. I also plan to replicate a spray-in bed liner for the bed: -

Always great to see one of these built. Very nice work on a picky kit.

Sprayed some clear and here we are. Of course, some polishing will need to be done. The phone camera makes the metallic look much larger than it appears in person. For some comparison, I used TS-95 Pure Metallic Red over Tamiya Pink Primer for the Miata and TS-95 over Tamiya Red Oxide Primer for the Silverado. The TS-95, in spite of having a metallic content, is somewhat translucent and the underlying color will affect the final color. At least in my experience. Phone camera does funky stuff with metallic paint sometimes. -

Second coat of paint. While it cures out, I'll start working on all the other parts. (hopefully!) -

Wow, this is really sweet! Where did you source the flames? Or did you make those yourself? I really like it. -

Thank you. Tamiya TS=95 Pure Red Metallic over their Red Oxide primer. -
Nicely built! Great photography, too!
