  1. Some interesting stuff of late. I'd like to grab that MR2 (reissue, right?) and the Supra. I've picked up the recently tooled RX-7 SACC (First generation). In the box it looks like a great kit. I hope they release an FB version (the last few years of the first generation). This most recent version ("Late Version") has the correct lower front valance, so I'm holding out hope. My goal is to build this, just need the later (RHD, Updated) interior:
  2. Wow! Thank you for letting me know. I figured something must be going on; and I certainly wasn't trying to stir anything. I wish him the best. Thank you for the message, too.
  3. I've sent a PM to @gluhead and also to @gui_tarzan; hopefully I'll hear something soon.
  4. Thank you. I was wondering if perhaps something could be going on health-wise. I do have some of his stuff that I got from his eBay store a couple of years ago, and it is definitely good stuff. I hope everything is ok; I would appreciate some sort of confirmation of course.
  5. I do not normally go to the web and blast anyone, especially someone who in the past has provided really nice service and parts. So, I'm hoping someone here might know how to get in touch with Olson Brothers - other than sales@resincastmodelparts.com. I have emailed several times and received no reply. I have also tried to reach out via his Facebook page and got the following auto reply: Hi, thanks for contacting us. We've received your message and appreciate you reaching out. Unfortunately I rarely get to check messages here. Please contact me directly at sales@resincastmodelparts.com. Have a great day and hope to hear from you soon. I placed an order with them in very early July via their website - www.resincastmodelparts.com. I got a message that my order had been received, and I then got a message that my order was processing. Since then, I've not received any additional information. I've tried reaching out several times via sales@resincastmodelparts.com and I've logged into the customer portion of the website and tried to get an answer. So far, zero replies. Does anybody know what's going on? I know this is a small, cottage industry; and I get that things do happen. But some sort of reply or confirmation would be appreciated.
  6. That's the real car, right? Now, show us the model you built. Beautiful work!
  7. Oh wow! This is great work. My grandfather had a 1984 Fleetwood Brougham. I drove it a few years to "keep the miles off of your truck." What a boat! I loved it - once you got out of the parking lot, you were halfway to your destination.
  8. Sweet work! Really enjoy the commentary and pointers, too!
  9. Here's a link to all the goodies. https://www.fireballmodels.info/ His products are impressive and his service is outstanding.
  10. Holy Smokes!!! That's a real car, right? Amazing work.
  11. Easily among the best builds of this kit. Nice work!
  12. You might be surprised at just how bright a red will be if you shoot it over their pink primer.
  13. Sweet! Would love to get a copy or two.
  14. Have you tried shooting that red over Tamiya's Pink Primer?
  15. Agreed. I'll keep buying their products, I'm sure.
  16. Wow! There's Land Yacht and then there is this! Killer work! I had a 1984 Fleetwood once (was my Granddad's). I thought it was long. We used to joke that once you were out of the drive, you were half way to your destination. I love what you've done here.
  17. Sure thing! customerservice@moebiusmodels.com From the https://www.moebiusmodels.com/index.html website
  18. It does look good. I reached out to Moebius and they are sending replacement parts for those that were warped in my kit. I've heard others say that they, too, are due to receive replacement parts. I think they're trying to make things right.
  19. Wow! Beautiful work, and photography!
  20. All done. I elected to ignore the engine for the purposes of this build. Here's the finished product:
  21. Finished! I elected to not correct the chrome trim between the front and rear side windows, for fear of doing more harm than good. I tinted the side and rear windows, but not the windshield. I felt it looked better this way. Achieving the bright top was done by using a base coat of Alclad II Chrome between the primer and the white paint. I'm not sure I recommend this, but so far, so good ... All colors are Tamiya Lacquers, and all "chrome" and "aluminum" finishes are Alclad II. Side shot, showing where I probably should have tinted the wing windows. I'm still learning about this hobby ... At one point, I had added the kit's fender skirts (not seen in the movie). At first I liked them, but over time, I felt the car looked better without the skirts. The bright red was achieved by spraying over pink primer, a first for me in terms of an actually finished model. I think it turned out pretty good. The phone camera does whacky stuff with reds, but in person it looks right. At least to my eye. Underside details. This adds to my Cars on Film collection:
  22. It looks good to me. For what it's worth, Moebius is working with folks who have warped parts in these kits. Seems they do care about the situation. I did pick up one of the kits and am looking forward to giving it a try. I think what you've done looks good so far.
