  1. Minor updates. Added a turn signal stalk to the steering wheel and cleaned up and installed the CB (more of a blob in the kit, but with some filing and painting ...). I also added "feet" to the rollbar. None of the parts are permanently installed yet, but I like where it's (slowly) headed ...
  2. Wow! Really nice work - the color and everything is just right!
  3. This is cool! Looks like a possible Batmobile or something
  4. Thank you! The one set that I ordered earlier - the detail is excellent! Thank you - planning to order some more.
  5. Just to confirm, before ordering another set of these beautiful wheels, 17mm is perfect for the Revell / Monogram 1/24 Cobra tires?
  6. Some minor details. Scratched up a roll bar, although it needs some tweaks for sure! ...and opened up the grill. Not sure if I'll attempt to replace the headlights or just paint them. and painted the dash.
  7. Wish I could take work for the engine compartment, but that is the epic work of Dennis (dino246gt). His Scout is amazing. I'm just trying to make something decently presentable.
  8. Be cool if the kit offered more than the V8. Or, frankly, any detail Thank you! Thank you! "Plan" may be too strong of a word for how I usually work! Thank you! Thank you! I hope so.
  9. Beautiful work! I love seeing these built. I have managed to gather enough bits and pieces over the years to hopefully build one someday soon
  10. I know that Olson Bros had some rather awesome parts for the Scout II, but with their demise (I hope things work out for him), are there other options out there? I'd really like to know if there are other grill /headlight options; similar to what Mr. Olson was planning to produce.
  11. Nice build!
  12. Really nice build! I guess I'm showing my age - but I really like the cars of this era, as compared to the newer ones. I know, I know .... things change, progress, etc., etc. Really beautiful work there!
  13. Nice! Whether 2-n-1 or 3-n-1, I'll be glad to have a chance to pick up a CJ-7
  14. It seems that August is pretty busy with everything except being at the workbench. That said, I did manage to cobble together a 2/3 split bench seat for the Scout. An AMT 1955 Chevy pickup donated it's seat to the cause. One cut and a few odd bits of styrene later, and we have the basic seat.
  15. Oh, that's nice! I have this in my stash and need to get to it
  16. Echoing what others have already said - That is a stunning build. This is the old AMT kit? Is this the same that is part of the recent Mod Rod reissue? Amazing work.
  17. With the two colors you have on this, once it's trimmed out with chrome, it'll be an eye-catcher for sure!
  18. Oh, man! This is awesome!
  19. What a beautiful build - I really like the carpet, it makes the car look real.
  20. I'm glad you guys brought this one back up - what a beautiful build!
  21. Taking a clue from Dennis Ezmerlian's beautiful Scout II build and Tom Geiger's comments, I'm going to attempt to create a more pedestrian seat for my Scout using parts scavenged from an old Chevy. But, as noted, I'm a slow builder and this will probably have to wait until tomorrow or this weekend. The seat option given in the kit is a little too "sporty" for what I have in mind.
  22. That's pretty cool! I don't know a lot about IH, so I'm kind of winging it here.
