  1. Thank you, Mark! Any idea on the "Night Moves" quarter panel decals? Looking at online scans of the two (two!) decals sheets included with the Model King Camaro, those don't appear to be there. The stripes and fades / flames are definitely on those sheets, though.
  2. I'm guessing this is the old AMT Camaro. This isn't my build, but I was wondering if anyone knew the source of the markings? (image found on that auction site.)
  3. That's so cool! Do you have links to the various aftermarket suppliers you used? I've heard of Detail Junkies, but not the others.
  4. That looks really nice!
  5. Love it. Needs a bomb air conditioner; and maybe a sun visor
  6. Thank you! I'm sure with a decent clear coat, it would have been even better. It's been a few years since I built this, but I think the Inca Gold will be perfect for any number of show cars. Looking forward to seeing more Deora!
  7. That Testors Inca Gold will be perfect for your build! Nice work! Here's Inca Gold on the Tom Daniel's Vandal
  8. Very cool
  9. That looks really good!
  10. Oh, wow! That is impressive! I agree with others - carrying through with the dash is cool.
  11. Wow! I have this kit in my stash, and for so few parts, I think it's rather intimidating. Beautiful work.
  12. Oh, man this is awesome! Glad to see you're still working on this.
  13. That is amazingly clean work! Just beautiful
  14. Very cool! Now I want to go watch the movie!
  15. Wow! This should be the box art model for this kit.
  16. Thank you for this. I miss the old Testors Metallizers This looks nice.
  17. That faux hood scoop - classic!
  18. Oh, that's nice
  19. Beautiful work! Everyone needs to build this kit at least once.
  20. Oh, cool. And you built it like the box art?
  21. Has anyone ever seen this version actually built? I have one buried in my stash, but the decals seem ... dauting!
  22. Axles are glued on - finally. Once dry, I'll pull the wheels off again and attach some shocks. I don't know if that's prototypically correct, but seems better than "just" the leaf springs. The stance front and back is, I feel, a little better. The rear axle actually more-or-less centered, in spite of my poor quick phone camera action. So, I feel like I'm getting somewhere finally.
  23. Some small updates, finally! Added some odds and ends to the interior - cooler is from "Miniature Spice", which also supplied the surfboards. These are small 1/24 detail sets from Japan, but I haven't seen any of them in a long time. Milkcrate is from Iceman Productions, the gas can is from the spares box (It has straps and a mounting base molded on - not sure where it came from). I scratched up the rollbar as mentioned earlier - only to discover that it's a bit too short. I'm leaving it though. The spare tire is from the Scout kit. If you've built this kit, you know that the "rubber" part of the tire is incomplete and that part of the backing plate makes up the tire. Weird. To resolve this, I took two tires from the kit and cut the sidewall from one and glued it into another. I took a spare wheel from my stash, drilled out the lug holes and pinned the whole assembly to the interior of the Scout. Once assembled, I hope it looks ok. I also made a set of sunvisors and fashioned a rearview mirror to hang some fuzzy dice on - not pictured here. I cut up and reassembled the axles and leaf springs (molded as one unit each) in an effort to work towards a slight lift. I may have miscalculated ... but I think the front will come down just a tad once I start gluing things together. Wheels and tires are from Fireball.
  24. The Tamiya kit! Of course - forgot I had that in the stash. thank you!
  25. Does any kit have these "towel bar" bumpers in them? Maybe I could fashion something, but figured I'd ask if anyone know if such existed. I am absolutely NOT a Beetle expert, but of my kits (Gunze, Revell, Hasegawa) none of them appear to have these bumpers. (I notice the first one is an older oval window, the second car is a later square window) And of course, Bumblebee of Transformer fame, at least here, appears to have the towel bar bumpers:
