  1. I originally saw many of them at a local show on September 30th, and also while at one of my LHS on Monday. My nearest Hobby Lobby had a spot for the new '50 Olds, AND the new Revell '57 FORD!!! already! Of course both spots were empty, didn't notice a spot for the Foose Firebird though...
  2. Thanks Dave!!! Great news from you guys, keep those unique subjects coming! As the poster says, first in a series. Now we know what the second is...sure hope a first generation Bronco is under consideration also
  3. Maybe we'll get a first generation Bronco in styrene? Thanks for the pics steve!
  4. Now this is something I can relate to
  5. This is GREAT news! If this tooling is done right (and all visual indications we have so far looks like it is), this could be Revell's biggest seller EVER! Must...save.....model kit.........$$$ Thanks Tim for all you do for the hobby!
  6. WOW!!! Nicely done! great detailing
  7. AWESOME work as usual Mr. Cruz!
  8. Hey Simon, if you'd like I can mock up my Revell Camaro with one of my 1/25 2.8L engines to give you an idea of what it would look like? Just let me know...
  9. Are they still producing etched sets? Of all the new tool kits (Revell '62 Impala, Moebius Hudson, 300, etc.) released lately, I haven't seen any detail sets for any of them
  10. Here's the GP kit with the 2.8L V6, it's not DOHC: Forgot about the MPC Fiero, it had the 2.8L also: And another source for the 3.8L, albeit in 1/24:
  11. Simon, here in the states, I think the base Camaro/Firebirds had the 3.8L V6. Maybe Europe got the smaller GM V6s? Anyhoo, the Monogram 1/24 Buick Regal GN would get you a 3.8L, set up in rear-drive configuration you need for an F-body. The old MPC Beretta GT/GTU (not GTZ, which had a QUAD-4) kit had the 2.8L V6, but in front-drive configuration. Revell Pontiac Grand Prix also had the lil' V6s, in front-drive also.
  12. It's about time someone did a proper boattail Riviera! Hopefully someone will snag a pic at the Toledo NNL this weekend, Don's always there!
  13. Airframe & Powerplant aircraft mechanic for a major? airline for 22 years. For the last two years, I've been working in maintenance programs, basically all paperwork
  14. Since the Firebird kit is one I was going to pick up anyway, I'll wait & grab one of these 'Foose' versions at a show next year sometime, once the unfounded 'hype' wears off & its heavily discounted The wheels kinda look like the ones in Revell's Viper GTS coupe kit...
  15. INCREDIBLE!!! Love this beast Larry! Super accurate and detailed, the scratchbuilding, and what you've done with the SoReal IROKs to make them wider...just WOW!!!
  16. I just want to see what's in the box (mostly wheels) so I can choose between this 'NEW' version, or one of the older versions, since I do want the kit regardless. In the meantime, gotta get me some of this: I'll bet this works better than the original WD-40
  17. That's my point though...we can't always go by the box art as a representation of what's TRULY in the box. We need pics of the actual parts! As Roger says, we can correct the stance, it's the wheels I want to see!
  18. Anyone pick up this kit yet? There were several copies of it at a local show over the weekend, but I didn't buy one. Was wondering what the NEW wheels (are they as depicted on the box art?) or did Revell use previously issued wheels? Thanks in advance!
  19. Chop it up Kevin! You paid hardly anything for it, that's how you'll learn on diecast. They're FUN to modify, I actually PREFER the diecast bodies in some ways to styrene
