  1. Fantastic build, again! Not too crazy about the 1:1 car, but your model looks fantastic as always. Detail and paint job looks incredible.
  2. That's great, I like that body a lot too. With a combination of good chassis and this great body, this will be very nice build over all. I can't wait to see more, keep coming.
  3. Looking Good, Andy! I'm sure this one will turn out very nice, the engine looks fantastic already and I do like the chassis too. Keep it coming, I'll be following for sure. Just remember to paint those Gas Tank "Brackets" with different shade of silver, they give nice detailed touch to the chassis too. ;)
  4. WOW, that looks Fantastic! The stance is just right and it sure looks mean when there's not much chrome or silver parts. Can't wait to see it finished.
  5. Yeah, I guess I have to move to Model Roundup. It looks very good, but still it's a shame that Model Express is closing-it will be missed. That Model Empire USA looks good too, thanks. Never heard of it before.
  6. Okay, I might join in for this one, I have MANY stalled projects and I'd really like to finish them. The list of what I will be building in this thread, but don't hold your breath with these, they will take long time. -'56 Chevy Lead Sled -'34 Ford Pickup -RAMCHARGERS AA/Fuel Dragster -'32 Ford Bonneville Racer -'32 Ford Funny Car -'40 Ford Hot Rod That's it for now. I will post pictures of how they are looking now soon.
  7. Thanks for the Great comments! They're really appreciated! This was very fun build over all, and the car is very nice in 1:1 world, too. '68 Impala would be even better, but it's a shame that there are no new kits from that one, older kits are worth a lot of money. This build was hard to get look right in the pictures. The paint looked like satin in some pictures, some were blurry and sometimes the car was light blue and so on. Luckily I managed to get these pictures right. Thanks for the comments again!
  8. . Maybe the worst thing in Modeling, I've heard in many years time. Model Express is the one and only place overseas where I've bought kits. The customer service has been fantastic every time and they have amazing stuff for sale. Kits, aftermarket stuff, resin, decals and so on. Also they do have RARE kits, older kits........ There will not be an other one who says Terve and Kiitos when ordering kits and parts. Very sad news indeed. Now I gotta ask, is there any other place where I can buy older & newer kits, parts and aftermarket stuff at the same time? I mean that the shipping is very expensive, and it's cheaper to order more stuff from one place when you need to pay only one shipping instead of two (or three!) shippings. Maybe I have to start looking for new place for kits and parts. I know only Model Round Up and some resin shops... Any others?
  9. I've used Rochester carburetors from Revell Black Widow kit, they are maybe the easiest ones to get here in Finland. They're not 100% accurate, either, but much closer. In Revell '72 Olds kit, there should be correct Rochester carburetor, same thing with '86 Monte Carlo by Revell. I'm not sure about the Monte Carlo though, I have not seen one.
  10. This is cool, can't wait to see more of it! It looks like Gasser to me, if you want, there's a Gasser CBP, where we'd like to see also this kind of builds. Anyway, I'll be following, the stance is just right.
  11. Thanks for the paint-info, Corey! I'm thinking just what color I should paint my '71 Cuda Pro Stocker... I guess it will be Black, Orange or Red but I'm not sure yet. Your paint job turned out fantastic! Very shiny and very smooth. I like the wheels and tires, too. Those fit perfectly to this kind of Pro Street Car.
  12. '68 and '69 Cudas would be great, too. I would buy at least one of them for sure. But I'm really looking forward for this '70 Cuda. Maybe Factory Stock, or maybe Stock Eliminator Drag Racer, who knows, or maybe both.
  13. That's Another beautiful Chevy there! I really like the look of non-chromed Centerline wheels with that color combo.
  14. Looks Good! Also great to see one Chevy from your bench. I like the overall clean look on this one, paint is smooth and nice too. I like the details alot. Overall very clean build, and it's nice to see Factory Stock El Camino, instead of Pro Touring style build. Great Job.
  15. More Pictures....... And still Two More:
  16. I finished this one for a little less than week ago. It's built from AMT Impala kit, which is great quality over all. One of the best ones from AMT, I guess. The plan was to build Factory Stock car, as it came from the factory. Engine is Chevy Big Block 427 and the orange parts are painted with spray can. I've rarely spraypainted engines, but decided to try it with this. All other parts are painted by brush. It turned out okay, too. All parts are painted pretty much factory stock colors and I added some extra details, too. Interior is painted by brush and the color is from Revell Enamels. I added the seat belts with GM Belt buckles to front seats. The center console and dashboard are painted just like 1:1 car parts. The chassis is painted by spray cans too, but all axles and other smaller parts are brush painted, again. I added some extra details there too. The kit's tires were way too small, more like Lowrider size so I installed Monogram tires for this one. I had to do little modifications to get wheels fit too. Wheels are painted just like rear Rallye Wheels are. Body is painted by spray can too and cleared, polished and foiled of course. Only problem was when I tried to install completed body to completed chassis, it didn't fit at all. But with bottle of super glue, I managed to get it fit somehow. Overall the kit is very good quality, even if the body doesn't fit perfectly and tires are too small. Worth buying and building. Opinions welcomed, Good or Bad !
  17. I started making the hood for my Super Stock Mustang. I cut that original scoop of, and glued it back to different position, so it's bit higher now. All I need is some styrene and bondo to make it finished, now it's still in rough stages. Also primered the valve covers, but I don't have pics of them yet. This is how it should look when finished:
  18. Thanx, Darryl, Terry and Bruno! Comments are really appreciated. I got the throttle linkage almost done. Little cleaning and other minimal things need to be done, but otherwise it's pretty much there. It looks better than I thought, so I guess it will stay there too. Now I'm going to move to the other side of that carburetor, to work with the fuel line. I also installed the tachometer. It's found from my parts box, and I scratchbuilt the shift light from plastic tubing. I wired it just like 1:1 tachometer is wired, just need to add the cauge decal for it and call it done. Interior needs some touchups and little details before it's done.

    Chrysler 300

Well that's beautiful! I guess Box Stock can't be built much better than that, as Harry said. Fantastic paint job, as always in your builds. I like the overall clean look, too.
  20. Chuck pretty much said what I was going to say. When I get this/these kit(s), one must be built to Custom, of course. This is just too good basis for that one, even if there is already Custom '50 Olds Factory on this forum. Other one will be Stock Car, just because it's included in the kit and Stock Cars are cool too. And the third one will be Gasser, of course. And Maybe one Stock version, if I'm still interested of building 4th Olds.
  21. Whoops, sorry. Posted wrong picture.
  22. Thanks, Michael! Can't wait to see more of your Vette-build, too. But no pressures. Yeah, more builds wanted. I'm going to start another one soon.
  23. Well that's cool! I'd like to have one, this is one of the nicest Pro Stocks nowadays (but can't beat the Camaro).
  24. Then this Buick Skylark driven by Noora Laine. Runs in K/SA and the best ET is about 12,3. Tarja Gynther's Chevy Camaro, runs in E/SA if I remember correctly. Iiro Mikkola's Chevy Nova: Jarmo Markkanen's Pontiac Firebird (the Green one). Bought from Jim Waldo. It ran 0,99 under the index this year, not bad I would say. Before changing to that Firebird, Jarmo Markkanen drove this '69 Nova for 19 years. Actually in that picture, Markkanen has already sold the Nova and driver is Daniel Nyling, but it looks the same as it did when Jarmo Markkanen was driving.
  25. Then this '71 Chevelle, driven by Hannu Palasmaa in A/S. Then '67 Camaro SS/HA (if I remember correctly.) This year it was driven by Anna Kaisa Manninen.
