  1. Thanx Guys! Nah, there are "only" 50 or 60 projects in different stages. They're waiting for repaint, putty, parts or something else. And Yeah, I have a job.... Kind of. I'm at High School. It gives more time to build than regular job, I guess but it takes too much modeling time anyway. The room is huge problem nowadays : Underside of my Bed. You can see that blue box behind of those model boxes, there are some more models...
  2. Little Update to my Cuda project. Some bodywork, the seams of those body panels (Rocker Panels???) are smoothed with putty. Same thing with the scoop. I'm going to shoot some primer on it today and see how it looks-hopefully it will be ready for paint.
  3. Thanks, Rick. Here's some more. I was working with the valve covers for my Mustang. They're not completely accurate, but good enough I think. They are painted Revell Light Blue (Number 50), then there's somekind of metal plate or something in real car. That is made from BMF and Ford Motorsport decals are installed last. One problem with the engine is blower. I know that Shelby Mustang kit has one, but honestly I'm not interested in buying one just because of the Blower.
  4. Wow, that paintjob looks much better without clear than my paint jobs with clear! Fantastic work, Tyrone. I really like about the color too and the idea of not to use any paint scheme on this one.
  5. Hey Thanks Chris! Really Appreciated ! I need to get another Miss Deal Studebaker and do something same styled. But from what, that's good question. Maybe '56 Studebaker Commander.
  6. Thanks for the link, Michael! That can be used as reference as well. The build is waiting in a box for a while now, since I'm finishing Pro Stock Cuda for Model Car Show here in Finland. But while it's drying, I try to build something. I hope to have an update soon, but don't hold your breath.
  7. Thanks, Darryl! It really means alot when coming such talented builder as you.
  8. Oh, but actually there is a radiator. But it's not in typical place, don't know how nicely it would work there, but it's there: It's Not painted yet in this picture. And Thanks for the comment George!
  9. Well that's one Beautiful Nova-build! I like the color on it and paint job looks very good too. Nice stance and everything, excellent build.
  10. And fantastic work continues-those Mud Flaps look very good. I can't believe that you made those from plastic and in this scale! These scratchbuilding projects just make me want to get sheet styrene and try to make '25 Ford T Altered body, but I guess it would end up as mess.
  11. Great to see this car being built as Custom too. You do great job, can't wait to see more. The kit is really nice, keep coming.
  12. Thanks, Marty. What?
  13. Thanks for the kind words, Bill! They're really appreciated. The rubber question is asked very often. I try to aswer clearly: Take a spare tire (the one you're not planning to use), install it to Dremel or any other Motor Tool. There are many ways to do it and it depends of the tire diameter which one works the best for me. Then just simply do a few "burnouts" with that combination. I like to do burnouts on sheet metal, but sand paper is good too. Finer sandpaper you have, finer burnt rubber you get. Then I install them to model which is otherwise finished using Revell gloss clear and paint brush, I paint the area with clear where I want those burnt rubbers and then I just stick them there. Hope that helps.
  14. My '57 Chevy: I've also built one '57 Nomad Gasser, but I don't have good picture of it. Also I'm planning to do one '57 Chevy Street Freak style build soon.
  15. Very Nice Dodge Dart you got there! Excellent paint job and great job with the BMF. I really like the engine detail, too. Only thing what is bit disturbing, are those decals, they should be cut from the panel lines... Now it looks like doors don't open. That's little thing of course, and rest of it looks fantastic. Very nice build!
  16. That looks fantastic. I like the work you've done into this build. Especially the engine detail looks impressive, and rust is very realistic too. I like where this project is going, more pictures, please.
  17. Yeah, Rat Rod is nowadays quite large category, where are cars from Matt Black, pretty clean Hot Rods to real rusty "bombs". Of course there are different levels of Rat Rods, and I think this one qualifies into Rat Rod category, as it is today. I mean that it's really large category nowadays.
  18. Yeah, looks like you did excellent job on your first build. Paint job looks shiny in the pictures, great job. Pictures are bit blurry. Clear pictures make the model look better, too. Do you use a Camera or Cell Phone for taking pictures? If you use camera, make sure that you have Macro or Super Macro setting on. It's usually marked with flower in some button. And keep your hands steady when taking pictures with Super Macro. If you use cell phone, it's possible to take good pictures too, but it's not as easy. I like to take outside shots with cell phone, they turn out much better than inside shots. Then just take many pics and choose the best ones. Good pictures make the model really stand out. And one thing what helps, use big one colored background (I like to use white poster). It makes it easier to camera to focus to right object. Hope this helps, not trying to nitpick or something. Just wanted to give tips how to make models look better in these pictures too.
  19. Wow that's very nice, as usual! I really like the color on it and paint job looks smooth. Nice wheel and tire choice. Also like the Mooneyes Gas Tank, overall very Old School style Ford, and that's always great. Great pictures too.
  20. That is scratchbuilding at its best! I really like the way this build is coming along. Engine looks fantastic. I couldn't believe that it's scratch built. You do very good job, keep the updates coming.
  21. Thanks for the comments, everyone! They're really appreciated. For the interior flocking, that's excellent question. I don't know why I didn't use it. It really gives nice finished touch, but don't know why I skipped it with this one. Well, I guess next time I will use the flocking for interior, especially when door panels are seperate pieces. No progress yet, sorry about that. I've been building the Pro Stock Cuda now, but I'm getting back to this one too. I have to find cauge decal for tachometer. I know I have those somewhere, but where they are, is very good question.
  22. Some more pictures. Little Mockup:
  23. This CBP Has been stalled for a long time... I'd like to ask what's going on with other builds in this thread? I haven't got much done until now I took the Cuda back on the bench. I installed the rear axle on place, it fit nicely. Front axle is from my parts box, but it needed some cutting and slicing before it fitted nicely. Now it fits on place, but it needs more work. However, I can't get it done before engine is installed. Wheels and tires are on place too. Interior is also painted and I started the assembly too. Carpet is flat black, door panels and seats are semigloss black and roll bar is gloss black. Seat belts are red this time, otherwise the interior would have been really dark.
  24. Very nice Ford Roadster, it sure looks like real deal. The stance is just right and I like the color too. Very clean and nice overall, but those battery cables could look bit more realistic, or is it just me?
  25. I would like to see '68 Impala SS 427 from Revell. One of the nicest Impalas ever produced and that would make cool builds, like Factory Stock, Stock Eliminator Drag Racer and basic Street Car. MPC's original kit is so expensive that I guess there would be enough buyers for this one, too?
