  1. Interesting build, haven't seen much of these built. I have one kit, but I'm not far with it. It'll be Custom too, and I have started engine building, there were no problems with that, if I remember correctly. That needs to be slammed down too. Interesting color choice, but that combo might look very cool on finished build. Paintjob looks like shiny. Can't wait to see more.
  2. Really great job with the Charger. Paintjob looks very good to me, and all of that engine detailing, you've done is incredible. Interior looks good too. Can't wait to see more.
  3. Thanks, Andy! I've painted the firewall and some other parts too, like inner fenders on the front and fan shroud etc. Some of those parts are semi gloss black originally, but I wanted to go with gloss black. It just looks much better. No pictures yet anyway, I need to get something more done for this. Hopefully tomorrow the paint is dry and I can start putting things together...
  4. Really great job with the Fiat! I've been waiting for an update, since this is one of the most interesting builds on this forum. Great detailing all over, it just looks so realistic.
  5. Oh- forgot to ask. Where are those rear tires and wheels from? Actually they look pretty good.
  6. Thanks, guys! Online is the only way for buying this stuff, since here in Finland we have quite a few hobby shops, and they don't sell Slot Racing equipment, I think. Maybe those Vintage Parts are not good for me, New parts are easier to get and if something gets broken, also it is possible to buy new part easily. That Parma site looks very good, thanks for the link. Other ones are very good looking also. Does anyone know, does that Parma sell those parts to Finland? Or do I need to send e-mail and ask? I was thinking, these are bit too large questions, but huge thanks for your answers. That Parma Chassis would be very cool. Maybe I'll be buying it. That description says, wheelbase and ride height can be modified. That's great too. That SlotBlog forum looks very good-registered. And Steve: Those AMT Slot car kits look very good. Bad thing is, that they are quite expensive. But let's see.... Mostly Drag Racing is my idea, but of course that normal Slot racing too would be cool. Don't know yet.
  7. I've started my '57 Chrysler 300C for this CBP. Engine is painted gold, and transmission is silver. This will be fully rebuilt car, so color choices are bit different than original ones were.
  8. Well, it's bit old thread, but what kind of kit is that? Good or bad quality? And is is possible to turn into Facotry Stock?
  9. These are getting very interesting, and maybe I should try building one.... Few questions: 1. What kind of frame these cars have? Brass? Do you, guys scratchbuild it or do they have somekind of ready sets for different bodies? 2. How about the engines? Where do you buy them and how big they are? 3. Bodies... They are lighter than normal plastic mode kit bodies? Where they can be bought? I've been thinking, that if I build one Slot car, I'll use some body from model kit first, and then while learning more, buying lighter bodies... 4. Tires... Where to get them? Are those front tires different than those, what come with model kits? 5. Other equipment? What do I need to build fast and working Slot Car? Thanks, Niko
  10. Very cool Cuda! These Slot cars are getting more and more interesting all the time. Maybe I should try building one.
  11. Very cool build. Great to see more Lonestars. Very nice Truck, even if it's still missing from my stash. Great interior. It looks like 1:1. Chassis work is incredible too. Thanks for sharing this one, and can't wait to see more updates.
  12. Very nice tutorial, thanks! I've been thinking about building cowl hood, and this proves, it can be done. Needs to build at least one cowl hood for Fox Mustang...
  13. Well that looks like great build. Nova Drag Cars are always very interesting, great to see one more. Nice job with that hood- those scoops make this look very mean. Nice wheels and tires also. I'll be following this one.
  14. Very nice Impala with great engine! That color fits perfectly, and body color wheels with DogDish hubcaps is perfect combo. Nice engine detailing too. It looks like very clean build overall. I have one '62 Bel Air glue bomb waiting, but don't know yet, what I'll be building from it.
  15. Very nice and different Willys project. Interesting to see, how it turns out, since I haven't seen these built. Good idea too of building true Hot Rod from this. I was just thinking, if it would look good with the grill only, so it would be saw off from that hood? But it looks very good like this also, keep it going.
  16. What body is that? Is it Resin? Needs to get one Dirt Modified to my bench too... Very nice build on interesting subject. Great weathering all over, and that air cleaner, someone mentioned already, doesn't matter me. Great job all around, thanks for sharing this one.
  17. Well that's cool! Very, very nice paintjob and that grille looks cool too. Perfect wheel and tire choice too, and that ride height is just low enough. Nice to see you building too, Gregg!
  18. This build looks great. That cagework is incredible, how someone can build it from plastic...? This body is rarely seen on Pro Mod races, so subject is very interesting too. That scoop looks good too, can't wait to see more of it.
  19. Thanks Steven and Brett! I like this engine too, it's much better with that top part. And wire looms were helpful to get ignition wiring to look "right". This engine will be in Dragster, yes. In the Open Rail version, I will build that Streamliner later, but don't know yet, if I must do some modifications before it really looks good to my eye. That Topolino has been still waiting too.
  20. Thanks, Jerry! Interior progress this time, I managed to get dashboard ready. Steering wheel has some painted on details, and so does that dash too. Those cauges are from the kit. Then I installed door panels and dashboard on place, and next I need to install the shifter and firewall with its equipment. Body needs to be wetsanded and painted again soon too.
  21. Thanks John! It means alot when that comes from one Pro Modeler like you! Thanks again. Model building is really fun and great way to relax. Thanks, Virgil! Here's another update for you: I built two parts what make plug wires run more nicely (what are they called in english?). I drilled four holes on sheet styrene. Wires run nicely now, and fabricated little top part on that magneto, looks better? One More..
  22. Sure you can, Liam! Thanks for joining in. I'll add your name to the entry list. Tom: Really great looking decals, can't wait to see them installed.
  23. Thanks guys! I believe, that I can make that magneto to look more like magneto after bit working today... So stay tuned. Actually I don't know, what was in my mind when I started drilling those holes, I should have realized that these cars had magnetos.
