Very nice build, like it very much! That color is great, and paintjob is amazing. I like the engine work also, nice job with Box Stock build. Maybe needs to continue my build also.....
-
If someone knows, where Len lives, maybe someone who lives close, could make a visit to Len's house, and take the Snowball and send it to the next builder... Or something... And I'm not saying that anyone should have to steal it.
-
Haha, I was sure that it looked like model! I'm happy, I got this one right after few wrong guesses...
-
Today I installed those coil over shocks. They didn't fit so nicely, but I managed to get them glued. I'm almost finished with the body painting from inside, tomorrow I maybe put some BMF, if I have time.
-
What, I didn't get it. So is Len Geisler holding this project, but he should have given it away to next builder, or what? Hope you can get this thing rolling again, it was very interesting.

Yes, it's fun to build something different, like this, great way to relax and have fun. Now need to get a steering wheel and install that one. Well, there are lots of things to do but front axle is maybe the biggest one. I've scratchbuilt one from brass to that '32 Roadster, now need to make an other one.

FANTASTIC Buick, as always John! That color fits perfectly, these '70 GSX Buicks are looking really nice on 1:1 scale. Your color is bit different, than the original one, that's why I like it. Also that paintjob is truly amazing, VERY shiny and smooth as glass. Detailing is just amazing, and that air cleaner looks just like 1:1 sized part. Whole car is amazing, I can't even complaine about those wheels, it's so nice that those wheels don't make it look bad. There isn't enough words, so I could tell, how nice it really is, maybe the best model, I've seen. Now I'm going to pick up my jaw pieces from the floor...

This looks just great! I like the weathering of it, very realistic. Especially those Drag Camino textes are looking really good. And those parts on the bed are looking good too, keep these models coming.

Thanks, Tim! That black one is built with lots of time and work, this one is bit like faster build and it's just for fun, not going to be a show winner or something. I got this body for free, and idea was to build a Rat Rod of it. I know, I could build it better but then this project should be too large and it might never get finished. But it looks pretty good, I think, even if it's not so realistic as it could be. Headers are from solder, I drilled holes to cylinder heads and glued those pipes with super glue. Then just I bended them to their shape, and glued together. I'm going to glue somekind of pipes where those headers end, so maybe they look more realistic then. (Hope you got it).

Nice work again, John. Interesting, never seen Mid Engine Corvette before, can't wait to see some color on it. Engine looks really good and even if I'm not a fan of these new cars, this one is really great project.

Absolutely second that one! Wagon would be really nice to see and build. I also need to get this Ranchero, Hudsons, '48 Ford Coupe, and many many other kits, great to see so much new kits coming.

Didn't find dashboard, so I built it from styrene. It's not perfect, but it could very well be homemade part. I drilled three holes there for cauges, but the owner hasn't got time to install them. So there are only those holes. Installed the windshield too and now it's starting to look like car, isn't it? Next I need to scratchbuilt that front axle system, stay tuned.

Interior is finished. Steering column is painted matt black and that turn signal switch (what is the name of it?) and column shifter are painted silver. The knobs are black. That steering column and steering wheel also were really easy to put on their places, and they look quite good. Next I'm moving on to the body, inside it and hood needs to be painted also, but today it has been raining all day and it is not going to stop, until tomorrow, I think...

Those headers are looking amazing! Really nice work with them, those are 1000 times better than the original ones. Overall really nice work, I can't wait to see more of this build. -
You did very nice job with this one. The kit seems to be pretty simple, that chassis plate isn't so well detailed as in many of the new kits? But paintjob looks really good, and engine detailing is nice. Tires and wheels look very realistic, there's nothing wrong with it, nice model.
-
Thanks both! I've built that Nomad version too, need to say that these kits are fun to build. I built my Nomad Gasser style, and it turned out Ok, I think. I'll be working with this one today, stay tuned for an update.

Here is finally a picture of that battery cable. The job was pretty easy to do, and it looks way better like that. Thanks for the suggestion! Picture isn't the best one, camera had hard time taking one picture, even this good.

Just a little update. I painted the inner fenders gloss black. Also steering wheel is now ready to assembly. Next step is foiling the body and painting the hood. Then few little parts on their places, and body/interior/chassis together.
-
WOW, this one is real great model! I like the weathering on it, just perfect. It looks like it has been last 30 years in somekind of barn. Excellent job on it, really great end result.
-
No one has voted Real! I think, it's a model too, it just don't look real.
-
Great to hear that some other builders think that way too! I don't like those big ugly wheels too, they are awfull. Great project, keep us posting. I've built this kit also, first thing, I did, I sold those big wheels away.
-
Truly amazing work! That engine looks super! I'm speechless.

Thanks for the comments fellas! The agressive look is my favorite thing on '70 Super Bee. It's just great looking frontend. Jim, your idea sounds really good, I'll be watching your build really seriously. I need to get my Mercury back to the bench now, but I'm having bit hurry days to finish some models to the show.

Nice to see Front Engine Dragster. This one looks real good. Engine detailing is really nice, and I like that driver's "cabin". Injector stacks are looking very realistic. One little minus comes from those front wheels, but I know that they are really tricky to make look good. I have to use them on my Dragsters also, 'cause I have no money to buy photo etch parts.
