  1. Electronic supply stores sell wicking used to suck up excess solder. It is braided copper and comes in various sizes - perfect for the ground strap.
  2. Various Alclads and Metalizers accented by dry brushing.
  3. The windshield looks great. I thought it was vacu-formed.
  4. In your WIP write-up you said you did the side windows from flat stock. Did you form the windscreen the same way or didi you vacu-form it?
  5. I'll conclude you don't know the answer to my question, either. Thanx, I can dial it my self.
  6. I was expecting an answer such as "because the steering wheel should be on the same side as the shifter and the seat belts". Intersting. I'm working on a Porsche 911 GT1. Photos I 've found show right and left hand drive versions. And before we get way off-topic here - Nice Build, Scale-Master!
  7. Works for me. For a while I had to select "last 24 hours" but then lately "It" just knows.
  8. I have an order for replacement parts that lists its status as: "DE Fulfillment" Does this mean it is coming out of Germany?
  9. Future works for me. Brush it on in one stroke. Let it level out and dry overnight. Then apply your clear of choice.
  10. Maybe an overseas website that ships to the US? It may be faster than waiting for Tamiya to restock.
  11. Very nice, Zed! Very nice.
  12. I've had just the opposite experience with MCW. Their effort fell well short of doing anything to help find the right color - even after I inquired by phone and was assured I was ordering the right color it wasn't even close. I agree 100% that Scale Finishes is easier to order from.
  13. Don, I think I'm good. Thanks!
  14. I'm watching this one! Keep the orange peel. It's more authentic that way.
  15. Randy, your work is amazing. Think about wicking used to suck up excess solder for those seat belts. I'm signing off to wipe the drool off my key board now.
  16. Nice resto, Raul, very nice.
  17. Nice save! Love the paint. I think I'll try the acetone trick next time I don't like the way my build is progressing.
  18. Thanks for both efforts! I'll be checking the mail!
  19. I destroyed (yes, destroyed) the gas filler cap from the Revell-O-Gram 427 Cobra S/C, kit number 2764. I have tried the Revell online replacement catalog only to get an "out of stock" reply. If any of you have similar kit instructions would you please reply with: kit number kit name part number part description I'll keep trying the Revell repalcement catalog but I don't want it kicked back to me for a wrong number/description. THANKS!
  20. Darin, that picture helps (in the interim - not for ever) Any more pictures to share?
  21. Guido will be at CFAC? Great, Guido.
  22. Gunze Sangyo Cobra Daytona Coupe high-tech model with Historic Racing Miniatures resin trans-kit and Weber carbs. Now if Darin Bastedo would only finish his tutorial on door hinges....................................................................
  23. Better to apply the decal before waxing. It may not stick otherwise.
