  1. Such fine work, every detail is so crisp and perfect. Your scratchbuilding skills just amaze me.
  2. This is a really nice conversion to work with. I am looking forward to learning from your project. I like the 5 hole's also !
  3. Thank you for posting the pictures and interior color information , I spent most of the day looking for references and only found one decent pic. All of those pics are a great help. Not sure what I am going to do for the air intake - the "wall furnace" intake looks kind of plain , I might have to do an fleet / owner added custom .
  4. Way cool, do you happen to remember the interior colors ? I am having a devil of a time trying to figure out how to paint the inside.
  5. Thanks guys for the kind compliments even though you can see how crooked some of the parts are That miter box is history. I have decided to install this engine in a White 7400 coe I picked up some time back. Found some parts to get the interior looking like business. I am going to cheat and put a curtain divider in behind the seats .
  6. This is a tough looking truck your replicating. The paint looks great ! I cant get over the fuel capacity - I would hate to fill those in real life.
  7. Great background story and a fantastic looking pair of trucks. To me is it the little things that make a model standout, on these the wheels really get my attention.
  8. Mike, I was impressed with your KW when I first saw it . The Freightliner is another top notch truck- Nice work !
  9. Clayton thanks for the great ideas - I love the trucks in the pics. I have for years wanted to do a coe 2 axle daycab. I dont have anything around here though for a accurate single axle setup. Brian - my older brother in Colorado has a '59 Ford 4wd on 1 ton axles that he built about 30 years ago. It has a 4 cyl Detroit with a 5&4 Brownie followed by the transfer case.
  10. What a great story - thanks for sharing it. I was/ am pretty fond of 1980 myself except I was 17.
  11. I have real internet again - no more slower then dial-up satellite. I can look at stuff again which means I have had a lot of forum catching up to do from the past year. In my spare time I found a "how to conversion " for a Detriot 8V71 to a 6V71. I had to give it a go and it was pretty easy and fun except my Miter box is wore out and cuts vertical angles. Here is the conversion , now I need to find a project worthy of it. Thanks for looking in
  12. Does anyone make a replacement 5th wheel for Italeri 1/24 trucks ?
  13. Nice looking trucks Terry, I like the Cat in the Pete. Makeup brushes work great for a seasonal dusting. If you steal one from your wife be sure to wash it, or you may have some colorful weathering.
  14. And too thin ! It is a sweet truck
  15. I like it and I am glad to see it getting a second chance at the bench. Looking forward to seeing more work done. Nice work on the double cab and the Cat looks right at home.
  16. I have not assembled one myself but had seen this on another truck forum Assemble the cab completely....top/bottom, and sides. Assemble the interior...except the dashboard. Install the dashboard into the cab..and then install the inside door panels, and then insert, install the cab floor from the bottom..and then you are ready to mount the cab on the frame
  17. I am really impressed with your Falcon also, one of my most favorite trucks. The trio is a unique collection ! I kick myself daily for passing on a "Falcon cab" a few years back...
  18. Very sharp paint scheme !
  19. Fantastic, I really like the way this IH turned out. I would really like to see a picture of all your trucks on display.
  20. What a privilege to see such fine modeling skills. That truck looks like it came from a modern sales brochure !
  21. Ken I here is a Freightliner I backdated, it was the first big rig I had built after 30yrs of other modeling.
  22. This is quite a project , I am excited to watch it transpire.
  23. Wow, that combo is fantastic ! They look so realistic.
