The hobby shop may have fallen victim to a Landlord that was able to get higher rents and a longer term lease from Verizon. I've been in several different areas of commercial real estate for 30 years and currently do the in house leasing for a small footprint retail store nationally and my company has fallen victim to such actions.

Hey happy new year?My Jeep battery is dead
HomerS replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Would it be a Cherokee? My Director has an SRT8 that the dealer cannot resolve. It will start with a jump but the 1000 amp portable battery jumper wouldn't start it. -
Especially this time of the year, the more we are around people, the more we love our animals. I've had to do it three times and it never got easier! It rips your heart out!! Now is not the time, but when don't let it stop you from adopting again. Clearly she was loved and too many dogs/cats never get that. Condolences from me and four rescue dogs Jeff

Expensive upkeep...hard to handle..... The Ferrari would be these things also

My former Director texted me a pic this morning of 'flurries' from Birmingham, AL. I asked her not to send it this way! I'm suppose to go to Columbus OH tomorrow for the funeral of a friend/former co-worker but may have to bail as the meteorologist around here told Noah it would just sprinkle with the sun coming out in the afternoon

What would YOU like to see as a model

Four door Jeep (Wrangler) -
I'd leave my wife and kids Christmas morning for Reba. Normally I prefer a deeper voice to sing "Mary Did You Know...." but she sang it tonight with Little Big Town on the ABC country music Christmas special. Great ending to the show

I've always noticed that people are quick to escalate things when they get poor service but never stop to say thank you. Back in the spring, I wasn't able to tip the lady at Ollie's who saw me eyeing up the models and she took me into the back and showed me what else came in. Yeah I left with another dozen I didn't need but I sent a long winded 'thank you' to corporate who did reach back to me.

The front right tire on the G8 has been low but the tire pressure varies widely due to temps and I have a bad sensor on one of the wheels so the monitoring system is in error mode. Took off this morning and it rides rides harsh on 45 series tires but it's not pulling. Turn at the stop sign and I hear crunching....pull over....NOW it's flat. Safeco's roadside was there in 20 minutes to inflate it and took it to Firestone. It leaked at the bead so they had to pull the tire reinstall it. I gave the young guy that blew up the tire $20 and I'm taking the Firestone crew donuts in the a.m. (they were booked but they are the only ones that touch my cars). Gotta take care of those who take care of me!

The Russian version of the Pontiac Aztek? -
If you are coming from out of town for this show, dont miss the Wright Patterson AFB museum. They received the training Space Shuttle and its now on display in the fourth hanger. You have to experience it to appreciate how big it is. (That is a museum volunteer in the lower left corner)

My oldest completed his sophomore year at an accredited university but to complete his Associate Degree and move onto a school that offers a Bachelors Degree in IT, he needs to get a co-op job. The school has been of ZERO help and nothing has panned out on his own. He's applied through Monster and Careerbuilder but gotten nothing. He is basically held hostage until he completes that last requirement Anyone have a suggestion?

Anyone have a flyer for the show next weekend?

This could turn ugly for the guy 'recycling' when the screen on the next urinal has a more interesting commercial but there is big football lineman using THAT urinal.

If you remember this show or this kit, you are old......I'm 52 but I remember the show. The box isn't the best but it is complete (partially assembled). Decals are dry transfer. Bear is included (!) but molded to the passenger seat. Would have preferred a model of Judy Landers.

Someone please take the chrome away from the designers

Never understood why GM did such a half hearted effort on marketing the Chevrolet SS. Okay I am partial as I have a Pontiac G8 (not the one in the pic) as I just liked it in every way than the Charger (no offense Mopar guys), It's a black on black but someone really needs to take the chrome away from the designers at GM. They did a very good job adding the Pontiac 'family traits' to the rebadged Holden for the G8 but OMG.....they murdered the SS/current Holden. Headlights, upper grill, lower grill, driving light 'grills, fender vent, side windows....get out the JC Whitney catalog and have at it. And for good measure let Flavor Flav slap a Chevy logo on the grill (the Holden logo is a bit oversized as well but for some reason doesn't look as flashy). They didn't spare in the interior either. -
A small vending turn out but I always seem to with a much (!) lighter wallet after this show

Great idea Joe. You and your family will appreciate that more and more everyday. Here's the one my wife did for my parents, That is their wedding pic and their 50th anniversary pic side by side. It's autographed by dad's three half brothers and their wife/girlfriend, mom's brother and his wife, mom's maid of honor and the priest from their church. Mom passed unexpectedly of a stroke about six months later.
