  1. I have one of the Charger Super Bee kits from about a year or two ago, and yes it's the plastic body kit, and I think it was well worth the $20.00 I spent for it. I think it's much better than Revell's new Charger, in my opinion!
  2. Would that be the one about halfway between Charleston and Huntington on I64? I believe the name of it might be WV Hobbies out in the Scott Depot area. If that's the one, I stopped there a time or two, it is a decent place.
  3. Is this idea still in the works, or was it forgotten about?
  4. I seen some said some nice 3/4 ton and one ton wheels, some 8 lug singles would be nice. I would also like to see some nice Alcoa aluminum dually wheels for 1 tons, I know these can be swiped from 1:32 big rigs, but most of the snap truck's wheels look too toylike. I'm also surprised the light truck guys haven't mentioned a diesel conversion. I'd like to see the Dodge Ram's Cummins, Ford's Powerstroke 7.3L, the non turbo 6.9L for early 80s Fords, the non turbo 7.3L like in my 1990 F350, and the Chevy 6.6L diesel for the 1990s trucks. A standard cab version of the 87-91 F Series cab for the Monogram/Revell F250/F350 kits would be nice, too.
  5. I'm surprised no one else said anything, but the AMT 1970 Coronet Super Bee has the DOHC Hemi as an option.
  6. I wonder if she was a pilot the way she flew that car! I think she needs to work on her landings, though!!
  7. GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. How did this build fight you, Wayne? I built one a few years ago, and I don't really remember any problems with it.
  9. I'm quite rusty, the last French class I had was probably in 1992 or 1993, before you were even born , but I know at least the first part is "I detest (hate) French..."!
  10. WHO thought of it?!?!
  11. Hobby Lobby should have a rack of at least one, if not both, brands.
  12. Yeah, I think she's hot, in a trucker sorta way!!
  13. You know, Mark, I think I goofed! Now that I think about it, thanks to you recharging the memory banks , the method I read in one of the magazines was with sanding the paint off BMF, not paint. OOPS, SORRY! Thanks for pointing that out, Mark!
  14. Not that I have seen, just the 12 oz bottle like in my pic, but I could be wrong.
  15. Tom, I think the closest you would find a 77/78 Trans Am would be a 1/18 scale diecast. I checked here: http://www.firebirdgallery.com/modslot05.htm and did not see anything larger than 1:24 and 1:25 scale kits for the 77 and 78. If your friend is saying he has the kit, I would almost bet that it is the 1:16 scale 79 Ten Anniversary Trans Am from AMT/MPC. Other than the 1:8 scale 79-81 Trans AMs Monogram released and a 1987 1:16 scale Trans AM Revell released, that is the only 1:16 scale Gen 2 Trans Am kit I'm aware of.
  16. I just thought I'd remind everyone who either likes the show or might want to check it out, the new season of "Ice Road Truckers" is on at 9:00 PM eastern time this Sunday June 6th on the History Channel. This will be the start of the 4th season, and I have watched all three previous seasons. In fact, I'm watching some of the old episodes as I type this, History is running a marathon off the previous seasons all day today, Friday, until 8:00 PM eastern. They also will have previous season episode marathons Saturday from 11:00 AM eastern all day and from 8:00 AM eastern Sunday until the new season premier at 9:00 PM. I really have a deep respect for the men and women who drive the Canadian and Alaskan ice roads, I know with 12 years experience and probably well over 1 million safe miles in the seat, I would never have the guts to drive the roads these drivers do. I think the new season will again be set on the Alaskan Dalton Highway like last years. The first two seasons where set on the Canadian ice road on the Mackenzie River from Yellowknife to Inuvik and the nearby diamond mines in Northwest Territories, Canada. If you haven't seen the show yet, check it out, and if you have, don't forget to watch! Also, as I mentioned in the topic description, if you have an ice road worthy truck, post them here!
  17. Wow, simply amazing! I'm glad to see the thread "came back from the dead"! I may have not seen it otherwise!
  18. I used the Testors lacquers on my 09 Challenger that is in progress, and I used the complete system of the white primer, color, and clear. I think it's been one of the best paint jobs I've done in years! By the way, the color is their Hemi Orange.
  19. I got the sheet from the hobby shop, I believe it was Plastruct gray ABS .030 sheet. Only the middle section is sheet, the front and back is the stock kit sleeper. Here's an early in progress pic of it. I also built a frame inside the roof to try to keep the arched shape of the original roof, but it still took a lot of Bondo and sanding to get it just right. I also built a simple frame from Evergreen tubing that is hidden inside to add some strength to everything. If you have a decent hobby shop nearby, you should find the Evergreen plastic, both tubing and sheet, with no problem.
  20. I like this idea, too! Pin it in the general section or something.
  21. I don't know if they were molded by Lindberg or not, but I know all, including the Boyd Hauler Chevy pickup, were all sold under the Testors name.
  22. I'd hope you weren't nit picking the truck, since it IS your design! I like the red, it really sets it off. What are you going to have it pulling? By the way, Leo, those wheels and tires look great, too. I LOVE those drives!
  23. Try Porky (Eric) @ P&P Vintage Kits & Resin Works, this is a link to his homepage: http://www.ppvintagekits.com/index.html He posts here and I just got these fenders for my current project from him. He has a couple other styles as well, and is a very nice guy to deal with! Check him out, and tell him Highway sent ya!!
