  1. Very nice indeed. Clever too. I also agree that this series of Tamiya kits are superb in execution and subject matter.
  2. Sure wish there were decals for the Planters flag car in the back ground......
  3. Looking forward to this build.
  4. Interesting thread and a cool car to build. In my pile of Le Mans kits to one day build. Good luck!
  5. I'm afraid I do not. I've been searching for good photos's of the PLN Nobody's Fool Mustang though..........
  6. Thank you!! I build almost strictly IMSA, ALMS and SCCA racers, and these sites will be very helpful!!!
  7. Awesome! Nice to know decals are available for this car as I have a couple of spares of this kit I was wondering what I was going to do with!!!
  8. The Lola T260 is currently being reborn by a friend in England, Tony Hill. He is also repoping several Formula Canada kits, Lola T70 MK III coupe, Lola T 600, Shadow DN1 and Lola T333, and a pair of Riley and Scott LMP's. He is also working to get the master for the March GTP better known as the Red Lobster March. That one will require significant corrections....
  9. Very nice.
  10. Beautiful Subie!
  11. I have purchased these exact rims for a project, and they are superb.
  12. There are several different styles, many of which are listed on Ebay. Search BBS wheels.
  13. All of the Group 44 cars I have ever seen, both in person and in picture had the rear numbers as a mirror image. All were stunningly beautiful race cars.
  14. Outstanding! The last of the IMSA GTP cars.
  15. Very nice indeed. I'm working on a 1/24th slot body kit bash of this car. I hope it turns out half as nice!!
  16. Outstanding build! Thanks for the heads up vis a vie the ride height. I have several of the 911 enthusiast kits in various stages of build, but none to that point.
  17. Way cool. I started this conversion over a decade ago but was going to do an 8 foot step side bed, sort of like a rail truck. Lost interest though.
  18. Cool, cool, cool!
  19. I too have fond memories of this as a teenager. It was a challenge, as much as the Stone Wood's and Cook Willys in a lot of ways. Fragile as hell, and the seams on the chrome parts did not sit well. I built mine OOTB as it was intended. IIRC, the rear axle in the original kit was a steel axle. Wish I still had it. I'll be picking up another one to recreate it as I have the Willy's. BTW, the picture of the decal sheet shows two different "looks" for the caricature of the car. I don't remember which was the original...... I do have one of the re-issues with the head lights as part of the hood. Intended to build a Salt Lakes version, but never got too far.
  20. Looks good. This could be done fairly easily in 1/25th as well using the recently re released Revell of Germany XKE as it has the hard top. The decals appear on ebay fairly regularly as well.
  21. Cool, cool, cool. It has the "gotcha" factor in spades.
  22. There is no other automotive sculpture presents sex more than an E-type. Good choice on a subject! Chrome trim is a good choice for upgrades.
  23. Beautiful builds indeed!
  24. Very nice! I started this kit, an original issue in the final year of high school, 1976 and never got back to it. I hopped that some day replacement decals would be made available so that I could finish it. My vote for most beautiful fueler ever. I'll be placing an order as soon as I return from my current job in early March. You have made an old man smile.....!
